Deinbeck Posted October 2, 2012 I just opened my Saber Extra and there's a couple of issues already. One arm has a problem with the upper vinyl skin, the elbow doesn't fit in properly, and there's a stain on the red velvet corset thingy (YEP, black mark). Do I just contact them? I'm taking pictures of the problems, small issues will crop up with what I imagine was a huge order for them, but at that price tag it's hard to shrug off a wonky arm and stained clothes items, no? archangeli Posted October 2, 2012 When did you receive her? Saber has a full warranty for 14 days after you receive her (and Volks knows since they have the tracking number on file and know when you received her). If there's ANYTHING wrong, take photos and email them ASAP and they will fix it. Sometimes you will have to mail the defective piece(s) back, and they will refund you the cost of shipping, as well as mail out replacements of required. Their customer service is excellent, so just send them a message. Archangeli.net | Twitter: @MsArchangeli | YouTube: Archangeli
Deinbeck Posted October 2, 2012 Thanks archangeli. I think I got her last Tues if I recall correctly so I should be ok. Whack load of problems with this doll, I'm almost miffed at this point. The worst is that the wig doesn't even fit. Alter's was snug, as expected, but this, you have no hope in hell of getting the thing on her head without something bad happening. Leg posts stuck in boot parts is the latest. Took vice-grips to free them. Not happy :/ The only saving grace is that she's just stunning to look at, easily the prettiest girl I've owned. Anna-neko Posted October 2, 2012 Deinbeck, just so u know.. the wig and the leg pegs/boots issues are present for ALL the Sabers the new soft-mold cap makes getting the wig on seriously impossible (its like mochi-cakes, it 'sticks' so can't slide on properly)
Deinbeck Posted October 2, 2012 Deinbeck, just so u know.. the wig and the leg pegs/boots issues are present for ALL the Sabers the new soft-mold cap makes getting the wig on seriously impossible (its like mochi-cakes, it 'sticks' so can't slide on properly) I did take note of this and figured the leg parts to be common for all orders. I think its a problem with the design, not a flaw inherent to my order. The wig though.... I have Alter 2nd too. I got her wig on ok. It was a little tougher because of the new head-cap, but I didn't have any serious issues. The wig I got with my Saber Extra order is literally impossible to get on without destroying it in the process. I think there's something seriously wrong with it. Anyways, thanks for the heads up on that. I'm downright concerned with quality control at this point. The price for these ladies is increasing, and the only thing I ever feel like I'm getting my money's worth in are the body/face sculpts.
Jezrah Posted October 2, 2012 I couldn't get either of my Saber's wigs on as is. I had to put cling wrap across the front of the scalp, put the wig on, then slide the cling wrap out. I tried without that at first and it was just not happening. I don't think of it as a quality issue though. I have another, different wig that's just like that. It's tight so it doesn't slide around once it's on. There's probably nothing wrong with your wig per say, it just may take some creativity to get on.

I might try that trick, thanks
Strife212 Posted October 5, 2012 I actually found the latest Sabers wigs really easy to get on for some reason. They just pushed down and instantly went on. OldMagician Posted December 26, 2013 Late reply on an old thread, but since I got my "new" Saber a few days ago from Japan (thanks to YJ) I thought I may add a few comments. The wig is on the small side, but using a small piece of velcro on the forehead helped. The fact that I for several of my other bjd dolls use wigs on the small side (looks better when you have non-fluffy hairstyles) probably also helped. I also had the problems with the leg-pegs, but sanding the pegs is a bit drastic in my view. It is quite easy, although time consuming, to sand the receiving part of the boot. Use high quality sandpaper (P180 is good), cut a piece 5x8cm, cut a thin rod of cleaning sponge and roll the sandpaper around it tightly so that it is precisely smaller than the hole. Don't glue or tape it! You can make this sanding rod expand by rotating it in the opposite direction that it is rolled and vice versa, and due to this sanding is done by piston movement. Took about half an hour to sand both pieces to perfect fit. This thread actually helped me to prepare for her, so I could enjoy my Saber extra the more. She is a lovely character.
