Well, this specific one from couple years ago requires no work - The main kimono is all one piece with snaps, a simple elastic waistband underskirt and the obi has a giant velcro on the back Now someone like Mariko-sensei - her summer yukata came with a few more bits to assemble. First goes on the big waist cushion (to lose the waist-to-hips curves a lil), then a long under-kimono robe that closes with ties, and the the yukata itself over that.... She's a Crobi Doll I bought ~7 years ago, and I bought a kimono set with it. It's a proper full set though, including an under kimono, and the kimono itself, and a bunch of waistbands that have to be tied manually. The under layer ties, the over layer ties (and is then folded over, as kimono is made too long one-size length type deal, and you just fold it up in the middle to make the correct length for yourself), then the obi has (there are names for each of these things) a lovely narrow-ish strip you see tucked at the top of it (on Mari its a strip of dark-red lace), and a pretty cord right in the middle Volks in the past did aset so was even more "simplified" - a jacket and skirt that together gave the look of a nice one-piece yukata! back on thread topic - moar kimono, with a side profile! 4 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
