Xiongmao Posted April 27, 2023 M is for Money. This hobby has many a dark sides, one of which is money. What I do like though is if you tire of your vinyl (or resin) friends and have bought well you can quit the hobby with hopefully minimal financial pain. Backstory: photo taken during covid lockdowns when I fled my job in China with a suitcase full of RMB which I laundered into THB in Bangkok. 4 2 My Dollfie doll family 😊. Mega Negi Posted April 28, 2023 (edited) N is for Nightmare. Nightmare is a heavyweight Battlebot that was one of the first big weapon bots from the late 90s. Nightmare has been brought out of retirement for a nightly show called Destruct-A-Thon which features many famous bots battling eachother and occasionally just destroying things like slot machines for sheer spectacle. Seeing those on TV they look kinda big but seeing one next to a doll makes them look even bigger! Billy 2 I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. Battlebots being a comedy central original, then moving to ABC and ultimately now at Discovery. the brittish Robot wars spin off being a BBC thing which memories I latched to first being more local. I knew about the regular Discovery+ broadcasts of regular Battlebots but I was intrigued by the Destruct-A-Thon thing. Too bad they don't air those, that'd be super cool! Xiongmao Posted May 1, 2023 I remember robot wars on the BBC - I think it was aired around 2005. It used to be good for a while until everyone realised flat wedge-like robots were pretty much indestructable then all subsequent robot designs were dead boring. And I'm kind of inspired to take a doll to a museum, though man with big anime doll would probably be more interesting to the visitors than the actual exhibits. 2 My Dollfie doll family 😊.
