RedLion Posted October 7, 2012 I don't think I saw one here, so I wanted to try and bring it up. Last movie I watched was Dark Shadows with Johnny Depp in it. It was entertaining and I liked it, and I do like Depp. But there was something realllllly interesting that I learned when watching the "making of" segment. The Collinwood Estate... This thing....they built it......in 1/3 scale....dollfie scale. Damn...>> Nendo Girls attack~! by Knifapalooza, on Flickr
laces Posted October 7, 2012 Haha, that's awesome that they built it in 1/3rd scale! The last film I watched was The Perks of Being a Wallflower, which was really, really good.
Winterplane Posted October 7, 2012 Last movie I saw was Paranorman XD kids movie! But trust me it had a few things that I assume they threw in there to humor adults that were forced to see it with their children.
Bellatrix Posted October 7, 2012 An italian comedy called "Se è amore non si vede", that I can roughly translate as "If it's love, you cannot see". ✩ 𝓥𝓲𝓬𝓽𝓲𝓶 𝓸𝓯 𝓽𝓱𝓮 𝓑𝓮𝓵𝓵𝓪𝓭𝓸𝔁 ✩
baldylox Posted October 7, 2012 Hmm, the last movie I saw was "King of Thorn", an anime title that was pretty good. As far as a live action movie, it's been a while since I sat down and watched one of those. But I think it was "Tropic Thunder". And for actually going to a movie theater and seeing a movie? I have no idea, it's been a LONG time. I hate going to the movies nowadays. It's too expensive, the sound and video sucks and putting up with all the idiots in the theater is just BS. My surround system at home sounds better than most theaters near me anyways.... Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. JoltFiend Posted October 8, 2012 I saw Taken 2 the other night. Decent action flick. I think me and my friends spent more time making fun of the couple in the row in front of us who decided that it would be more fun to make out than watch the trailers. katnaper Posted October 8, 2012 Hmmm... Dark Shadows and before that, if you would believe, Magic Mike . LOL. I do not recommend it, regardless of the eye candy. We have our own BLOG. littlebearries Posted October 8, 2012 Last movie I saw: The Lightkeepers Which I thought was hilarious... Richard Dreyfuss's character is such a hilarious little crotchety old man... I imagined him the whole time with a pointy hat on... he would have made the perfect grumpy dwarf. Last movie I saw in the movie theater: Judge Dredd I actually liked this... if you were reading a comic, it would probably be about a 2 comic story. It wasn't Judge Dredd's life history or anything, more like "A day in the life of"... and they didn't show his face (kudos to Karl Urban) and it was a good, solid action flick. DJStarstryker Posted October 10, 2012 Zatoichi. Yeah, the one with Beat Takeshi. Ehh... I found it ridiculously boring. I watched maybe half of it, up until the point where Zatoichi and his gambling buddy run into the geisha "sisters" and couldn't watch it anymore. Japanese movies are kind of hit and miss with pacing for me. Some are just so slow moving that I have to stop. It's too bad I couldn't take anymore. Beat Takeshi did do a great job in the parts that I watched making Zatoichi seem like this awesome character. Are you ready to rock? ^_^
Nekopon Posted October 10, 2012 Watched Looper the other night and it's a pretty fun film. I thought it was going to end up super confusing but it was easy to follow and action-packed. Bruce is still pretty freaking awesome! It was a toss up to watch Looper or Taken 2 since I really enjoyed the original Taken but the movie theater we were at didn't have the showing till 9:20 at night and I had to be home by 11 so I can get ready for work the next day so I decided to go with Looper and I don't regret it! kymaera Posted October 10, 2012 I don't normally watch a lot of movies, but this past weekend, I was staying with my sister as she recovered from surgery and it was a nice low energy thing that got us out of the place for a bit, so we ended up watching three movies: 1) Hotel Transylvania: I wasn't expecting much based on the trailers, but it ended up being a decent movie. Very predictable but well done. 2) Pitch Perfect: Wasn't planning on seeing this, but she wanted to. I was surprised by how much I enjoyed the movie. 3) Looper (which is technically the last movie I watched): The concept was very good and it definitely kept me interested. Thought it was well done and I liked it.
katnaper Posted October 11, 2012 Been watching "The Librarian" series of movies. Its made for TV movie but pretty decent to watch nonetheless. I like the character played by Noah Wyle, a sort of geeky guy with 22 Degrees who gets thrown into a job of the THE Librarian and he gets into all sorts of adventures. We have our own BLOG. baldylox Posted October 16, 2012 I just finished watched "Up" ;.;.....sniff..... GAH! The first 10 minutes of that movie about killed me. But the rest of it was excellent. Typical Pixar stuff, very fun, very smart and looked great. SQUIRREL!! Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. Keijogirl Posted October 17, 2012 The last movie that I sat down and watched was Your Highness. Honestly, it was a loooot better than I was expecting it to be xD the last one that I saw in a theater was either Snow white & the huntsman or the avengers. I'm not really into movies much though, I dunno why. At Home: Kiyo, Hikaru , Nikko, Komaki, Miho, Kana-chan, Tamakits, Illya, Misa, Deku, Nao, Zana, Ciri, Aki, Alisa, Kana, Yuka, Kiki, Komaki (Oni Mode), Ai, Chili, Nagisa, DDh03, Erica, Miyabi, Jun, Haruka, Sasha, and Laila Saving for: Accessories! littlebearries Posted October 17, 2012 the last one that I saw in a theater was either Snow white & the huntsman. This movie was so awful ;_; I don't understand why they hired all that comedic talent when it came to the dwarves... went through the trouble of CG'ing them all to BE dwarves (since they're regular sized people) and then made them NOT FUNNY?????? Last movie I saw: In the theater: Looper I liked it... it was action packed, full of interesting plot and was filled with a lot of "time travel conundrum", in a good way. The only thing I'll say is that I felt like I wanted to know certain characters more. I felt like Jeff Daniels' character should have had more background. He was interesting. At home: Dark Shadows Better than I was expecting, by far. I had heard terrible, terrible things about this movie, so I wasn't too keen on seeing it... but really, it was amusing. Sure, it wasn't the best thing ever... and there's a bit at the end that I feel had something to do with the original show (I'm talking about werewolves)... that in the movie just made NO sense... but alas, it was cute. tubatime1010 Posted October 18, 2012 The last movie I watched was at home. I haven't been to a theater since The Hunger Games was released. (that wasn't necessarily by choice either...) The movie was a Japanese sorta-Horror movie called 告白 (Kokouhaku or Confessions). The story centers around a rather delinquent Junior High School class. The movie begins with their teacher giving a speech to the class announcing not only that she will resign...but that she has information pinning the murder of her young daughter on two members of the class and that she has been secretly punishing the two in a way that could change their lives forever... Through the rest of the movie a series of twisted events occur in the aftermath of the announcement as both of the murder suspects are driven deeper and deeper into insanity by their former teacher's never ending desire to avenge the death of her daughter and exact her revenge on the two for ruining her life. Although this may seem like I just gave away some spoilers...I haven't. That's how crazy this movie gets...lol
