Minuette Posted April 4, 2013 New photos.of Asuna on the DD blog It mentions Version in the post. Can anyone tell us what it says? Will she be semi-white too? I just asked SakuraSylph to translate. He's busy doing something else so can't post this himself, but basically he said it translates to the outfit being the version she wore while she was in the "Knights of the Blood Oath" guild. "When you think of Asuna, it's gotta be this charming outfit set" is the line below that. I doubt they'd do a semi-white version, since it doesn't fit her character. I can more likely see them doing the elf eared version of her from the second half of the anime. Thanks a lot both you and Sylph. My heart got back into place She is so prety A machine translation of the page seems to imply that Asuna may not be available at the After Event? Please tell me it's just a bad machine translation. Minuette Posted April 4, 2013 In addition, the sale in cash after the event and is undecided for now. For reference, this is what my machine translated. Please someone in the know tell me it's a bad translation!
shinegamix Posted April 4, 2013 isnt it just that the actual date for the after event is not yet determined? making my triumphant return
Nehelenia Posted April 4, 2013 isnt it just that the actual date for the after event is not yet determined? That was the conclusion I also came to. But after all it's a google translation
Minuette Posted April 4, 2013 Maybe you're right, I assumed otherwise because I heard about a date for the After Event already. I wish I could remember where I saw it. Edit to add: Ah, it was in the Volks News 53 topic. I can't puzzle out why Volks News would have the After Event date but the blog wouldn't. For now, I'm officially reserving judgement from my initial freak out. Stupid Google.
Kumi Posted April 5, 2013 (edited) http://ameblo.jp/blog-dd/entry-11505331125.html New photos of Asuna on the DD blog, including this close-up shot of the face. Pretty, but nothing overly special Edited July 4, 2017 by Guest
SakuraSylph Posted April 5, 2013 A machine translation of the page seems to imply that Asuna may not be available at the After Event? Please tell me it's just a bad machine translation. It is not a bad machine translation. The paragraph in question on the Dreamy DD Blog says: Additionally, we'll be taking a limited quantity of orders for Asuna at the Dolpa 29 event hall. Please be aware in advance that the actual dolls won't be sold there. (We will, of course, have a model on display though!). Furthermore, it's still to-be-determined whether the physical dolls will be in stock in time to be sold at the After-Event. That paragraph is commenting on Asuna's production delays and how Volks is planning to cope with them. In the worst case, Volks will have to take limited preorders during the after-event as well as at the dolpa hall. The online lottery will probably run as normal I suspect, but you may have to wait a while for Asuna to be delivered in that case. It's all still up in the air right now as to how quickly the dolls will get completed. SakuraSylph

Nehelenia Posted April 6, 2013 i think her hair colour should be a bit darker i guess? but still very pretty~ I am quite sure it's darker. Volks always does some heavy editing on the light and colour filters of their promotional photos.

Hypercurve Posted April 6, 2013 She does look a lot like a re-makeup Neris! And she's got a nice big noggin too >.
shinegamix Posted April 6, 2013 er.. yes she does. is volks trying to be lazy? like the porsche 911 designers. the car has barely changed in 60 years making my triumphant return
Nanoza Posted April 6, 2013 She does look a lot like a re-makeup Neris! And she's got a nice big noggin too >.< Neris, however, looks much cuter and very sincere. Asuna in my opinion looks like a much less cute 06 head. I love her clothes however. and yes - volks is lazy in design, painting, stitching and inner skeleton molds. Saber nero had a huge problem with her dress snapping at the back due to a very thin weak wire holding two pieces together. Also My sabers inner skeleton recently snapped with no way to remove the inner joint. 7 of my DD's (almost all of my girls) shockingly have 1 or two broken parts, some I barely touched and they snapped. shinegamix Posted April 7, 2013 ah gut to hear. but the inner arm joind isthe first i hear of it. usually its the shoulders, neck or center torso making my triumphant return

Also My sabers inner skeleton recently snapped with no way to remove the inner joint. 7 of my DD's (almost all of my girls) shockingly have 1 or two broken parts, some I barely touched and they snapped. Because we all are using the DDs not in the Volks' intended way I still have the impression, that VS treats DDs as just bigger display figures. You should dress them, put on display and that's all. Some details just imply that way of thinking - the barely adequate skeleton joints or the weak dress parts. Not to mention the staining - it's no issue when You never remove the dress. Look at Obitsus - they're meant for tweaking in every possible way and - from the very beginning - You could buy all the replacement parts, if something were to break. Nehelenia Posted April 7, 2013 I never had any problem with any of my girls bodies (only some unavoidable damn stains) I am always extra careful with them. For me it's like handling something extremely breakable :S (I have do admit this takes away some of the fan) As for Asuna the more I see of her the more I love her. If I didn't have the wedding expenses I would most definitely go for the full set. That's ok ^^ the less ppl interested in her the more chances we got to get her!
