I look on the websites many times, but I still don't understand the concept of the lottery. What do you win? How many winners are there?its confusing, I don't wana enter one and it know what am doing '-.- sigh

To get a DD, since they are limited and exclusive, they do a lottery to make you able ordering the doll you wish. You don't "really" win anything, but the possibility to catch her.

:/ you win the possibility of ordering her so its like a fair way to compile a lists of orders from a wide base of consumers? So it's only for exclusive character models and clothes? Do you know how many winner are chosen? I want to what a persons typical chance of winning is.

As Bellatrix said, a lottery with Volks is basically people entering for the chance to buy clothing or a new DD. There are usually way more people wanting new clothes or a new DD than they actually make of them so if it were a first come, first serve setup, there would be many people left out if they couldn't be online at the exact time the sale started. With a lottery, it makes it more fair for everyone involved.

As for numbers on this stuff, there is no way to tell really. Everything depends on what items people are after and how many of those items were made available. If 40 people enter for a clothing set they only made 20 of, 20 people aren't going to get them. And if they made 20 of something but only 15 people put in for it, everyone would get one and they would have leftovers to sell later. But Volks has NEVER released any numbers for their outfits or DD's so no one has any real idea of how many of a certain DD or clothing set were made.

Hopefully that helps you out.

Also, please consider that really is the luck who makes you winning or losing.

My friend won Rise after entering 1 entry just to try, while I lost her even if I had something like 12 entries of various friends, in both US and JP lotteries.

So, who knows??

Unfortunately, the chances of winning feel like they're getting smaller as time goes on, just because DDs are getting more and more popular. I'm not really sure if Volks is making enough dolls for the demand.

If you do lose the lottery for a doll you really want, it's not too hard to find most of the DDs on the aftermarket (eBay, Yahoo Japan Auctions, Mandarake, etc). The problem is, the price of a DD is usually higher on the aftermarket, so you might have to save up longer to be able to afford the doll.

Are you ready to rock? ^_^
