The First Snow

Just a couple of days ago, we got to see the first snowflakes fall this autumn.

I think it's way to early for snow. orz

Mina - Why did the ground suddenly turn white?

 

- That's just snow.

It usually starts appearing in late November...

 

Mina - It's looks fluffy.

Can I touch it?

 

- Eh, sure, go ahead.

 

Mina - Oh, it's not attached to the ground!

 

Mina - Look Coffee! It's so pretty!

 

- ...Aren't you getting cold?

 

Mina - Brrrrr.... Coffee.... I'm cold...

 

- sigh

 

- Come on then.

Let's head inside, ok?

 

- Maybe we need to get you some warmer clothes...

It's going to get colder.

 

Mina - Will there be more snow too?

 

- Yes.... Lots...

 

Mina - I look forward to it!

She is so pretty. Its cute that she's so fascinated with snow. Hopefully she still feels the same when there's been lots of it and the temp drops really low.

Of course it seems if you ask Volks a winter outfit for a DD consists of a jacket and a miniskirt. I guess DD legs are very resistant to the effects of cold.

DD winter outfits seem to be inspired by how girls in Japan dress when they're dating... A jacket with a miniskirt, and ridiculous heels... Even when there's a foot of snow on the ground, they still dress that way.

That is so funny about the mini-skirts. I think fashionistas sacrifice function for looks. Not that I am fashionable in any way, but I don't wear pants in winter. I do have legwarmers and a long coat.

So cute and sweet. I'm loving her outdoor adventures. Her wide-eyed curiosity and sense of wonder are so adorable. There has been snow for a couple days on the hills surrounding the valley where SK and I live, but down here it's still raining There have been a few years I remember trick-or-treating in the snow. I wonder what Mina will think of it once it starts piling up! Hopefully she gets a nice warm jacket soon.

I love the photo where's she's shivering, and the last photo. I remember getting snow sometimes at Halloween when I was a kid but it's been a long time since we got any before late November.

Rarely does it happen when I have to ban Tamayuki from seeing something on the forums, but these pictures are not going to be seen by him anytime soon. Your pictures are wonderful, but he is already hyped up enough about Halloween and is making plans for Christmas. Winter is his favorite season and I'm expecting that he will go ballistic once it snows.

Ah such a cute story~! My favorite photo is the last one with the two of you walking back into the house I remember seeing snow for the first time when I was back in North Dakota, it was like the best thing in the world! Then after a few days I realized how freezing I was and I wished it would stop snowing lol Mina is a cutie~

I never wear pants during winter either, but I make sure to cover myself in extra layers of everything instead no matter how silly I look.

Up north of Europe, Sweden. XD

We usually have really cold and windy autumns, but the snow usually don't show up until late November - mid December. orz
