Dolpa 28 - December 16, 2012

My heart aches for Aoko. I wanted to get her so bad, but with the unexpected expense of my car windshield cracking there is just no way I can enter for her now.

 

Curse my bad luck, maybe I can get her later at a decent after market price.

Entered for Aoko with KL and WLD. ^^ I think I'll aim for VolksUSA too, but I'll see about that.

Entered for Melty through KL Hopefully I will win but if I don't oh well!

So how does it work, putting in for a doll at KL? If I'm reading it right, you wouldn't find out if you won from them til after you had to enter with VolksUSA. But KL says you have to give a "50% non refundable deposit upon confirmation". That's if you win? When do you have to give the other half? And I'm assuming you're therefore putting a risk if you were very lucky of paying for two dolls? Sorry, newb.

Volks USA works with KL so you shouldn't win from both. The 50% payment is if you win and the rest will be payed when the doll arrives at KL and they have a shipping estimate so there will be about a 3 month wait till you have to pay the last 50%+shipping or however long it takes Volks USA to get the dolls.

Ooh, so you get another chance with VolksUSA if you didn't win, but otherwise KL will inform VolksUSA that you're not eligible? Thanks

I've gone ahead and put in my lottery entries for Melty with KL & WLD. Once Volks USA opens up their lottery entries I'll put in for her with them as well. Here's hoping that luck is on my side this time Good luck to everyone else as well!

I love melty and I really hope to win the right to buy. it is really nice too and especially have an elf in my family would be the top dd.

I think that she's really super cute I want her for sure! I think for me though, she may possibly need her lips tweaked or redone. It seems to me that the lip lines at the corners of her mouth go quite high and in some of the pictures I think it looks a bit off.

 

It's not a deal breaking issue though and something like that needs to be assessed in person anyway. Volks dolls are always so different in hand, you can never be 100% from Volks pictures alone.

AAAAAAAA those pictures just cement my determination to procure Melty!

 

I think she looks like a younger Sakuya, which makes sense. I really liked Sakuya and was considering tracking her down, but I would be even happier with Melty, since I like the young, sweet type.
