I'm really liking Aoko's look!!

Hmmm, those close ups of MOMO make her mouth look odd. It seems like the paint that makes it look like she's smiling rather than having a neutral line doesn't quite line up with the corners of her mouth. I wonder if they'll change that at all before release? Oh well, I personally didn't plan on getting her anyway.

 

Yeah I noticed that too... ._.; I've pre-ordered her and been really hyped over getting my first DD, but that double lip-line looks really odd! o_O I hope they fix it up... >~< On the other hand, Aoko looks really nice, I love her lips! She has a sweet but feisty expression! X3

I wouldn't worry too much about Momo's mouth - there are other sculpts like that, and it works fine with good lighting. Checking my group, Rise, Cirno and Neris all have pretty straight mouths with painted upturned corners. The alternative is sculpting the mouth deeper, and then that would make every DD look more like 04 head.

Like I said, a little different mouth, and of course faceup.

I think, Aoko has slightly wider and lower placed eyes, but not much.

And her eyes are very pretty...

phew Aoko's eyes..... sometimes I wish Volks would just sell the eyes separately even if its just for a lottery event. Soooo pretty >____

07 and Aoko are similar, but every time I see Aoko I love her more. Something about her makes her look sly.

I was originally planning on parting out Aoko, but after seeing these close up pictures of her head, I'm going to keep her! Volks really is terrible at taking pictures of their own stuff.

Melty is really pretty. I love her faceup and eyes plus elf ears, but I won't be entering for her.

I need to find me a race queen outfit!

This is my first doll event in Japan. Purchased the plane ticket in October, and have been excited for months until it finally happens. Asked one of my doll friends who is studying in Tokyo to buy me the catalog so I can enter the limited item drawing prior to the actual opening at 10AM. I know how hard it is to be able to win the lottery these days, you pretty much have to have a number inside the 400s just to have a chance to buy anything. So I really wasn't planning to buy any big ticket items at DP28, just thought it would be nice if I get to grab some kinky outfits and flashy eyes for my little friends at home. Then maybe pick up a new daughter in mint condition from one of the doll stores.

 

Took a little while for my friend and I to finally meet, so by the time I get to the drawing box, it was around 8:30AM already (The drawing event starts around 7:30 and close at 9:00). When I see the number 270 I was overjoyed. I firmly believe my decision to bring Tosaka for this trip played a hand for me to be this lucky that day, and I am sure Aoko and Rin will get along just fine.

 

But then I realized that I barely have enough money to bring Aoko and Melty both home, because I wasn't planned on winning, I only brought 13.5W Yen with me for the entire trip, thought it should be more than enough, and I was dumb enough to leave the credit card at home.

 

So I ended up with only two more meals for the next 2 days (my friend treated me to one of those two meals too), and didn't do anything in Tokyo since I can't even afford the train ride. By the time I reached the door at home, I only had 260 Yen with me, and nothing else in my wallet.

 

I wasn't able to do any more sight seeing in Tokyo for the remaining two days of my trip after DP28, and I wasn't able to buy anything more after I put Aoko and Melty in my luggage. This trip was still a rousing success, of course^^

 

On the Saturday morning before I leave for Tokyo, I grab additional 160 USD and put it in my wallet, I dunno why, but my instinct told me I should put that money in the wallet so I did. And that money ended to be the difference for me to be able to bring them both home. It was meant to be, otherwise how do you explain that!?

What a nice experience for you! especially getting Melty Congrats on having them both! oh and I think Aoko would be a fine sister for Rin perhaps since Aoko has the more matured look than Rin Still thinking on how will I get my Melty T^T 4th day since I really couldn't sleep over thinking things, plans on how wil I have my Melty
