SisterKyoya Posted November 16, 2012 Picture of the new hands on the DD blog. They're much larger than previous version.Should be more "in scale" to a DD. I had wondered about the larger version. The two hands next to each other make the big ones look like a guy's hands. Personally I think it's great! With that in mind, Google translate has given me my comedy relief for the afternoon... I couldn't figure out why there was always such odd blog posts on the DD blog until I realized that Google translate shoves all the text to the top, irregardless of picture placement. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
Anna-neko Posted November 16, 2012 oh good... I still haven't bought my poor Arturia any new hands, so might as well just wait out for these new bigger ones to come in "grabby" shape!

Nigoki Posted November 16, 2012 Tickets are booked, onwards to Dolpa!
DJStarstryker Posted November 17, 2012 Tickets are booked, onwards to Dolpa! Make sure to buy the Dolpa Guidebook. That's used as your ticket to get in the door. Also, make sure to be there no later than 9am to draw your number for your slot in line for the limited dolls. Otherwise you'll have to be at the end of the line with everyone else who shows up late. Are you ready to rock? ^_^

Yep, already got my guidebook, though tempted to pick up maybe one or two more, I'd rather like a decent shot at Aoko. It's not worth it. In the guidebook, Volks says that this time they are enforcing each person only getting to draw a number once no matter how many guidebooks they have. The only way to get "more" numbers is to bring more people to the Dolpa with you that don't intend to buy anything (have them buy it for you or give you their number after they draw). To add to this, the actual Dolpa isn't even your only chance to get Aoko. There's the website after-event and the after-event in stores in January also. So, I wouldn't worry about it too much; rather just go and have fun seeing what there is to see, and if you get Aoko while there, great! SakuraSylph

Ah, I wasn't aware of that; last year people were able to draw as many tickets as they had books. Thanks for letting me know . Yeah, I understand all that, just I've had pretty mixed luck in the past with the lottery. I'm in Australia, so if I miss out at Dolpa I've only really got access to the international lottery or sales on ebay/yja/etc after the fact, which tend to be at a not-inconsiderable markup. Anyway, sounds like that's my only option now anyway .

I really hope they do enforce that. The last few Dollpa I kept seeing people with 20+ guidebooks. Luckily I'll have two draws, myself and wife ^^;

DJStarstryker Posted November 28, 2012 are they going to do the lottery on volks usa AND the international site or just the international site?what do they normally do? Both. Sometimes there's dolls that end up being only released on the international site, but we haven't heard yet if that'll be the case for the dolls in this Dolpa yet or not. I know this isn't specifically DD related "but" it seems like they're more likely to have a doll from Dolpa if it's on a banner they use in the blog. This has made me happy since they've had a Creamy Mami one. ^_^

SakuraSylph Posted December 2, 2012 Will the international event be later? Than Volks USA? Yes, it will be held later than the US but items will be shipped earlier than the US. Volks USA is taking orders from 16-18 December, with estimated ship-out in March 2013. The Japan After-Event is planned for mid-January, and they usually run the international one at the same time. And the dolls for that one ship out right away in January. SakuraSylph
mangaemi Posted December 2, 2012 Aw man, if anyone wants to go in for a split for Aoko... while I love her face she seems a little too close to the DDH-07 I'm getting.. but I *love* her clothes (specially them boots... and the jacket... Jezrah Posted December 2, 2012 Indeed that is an annoyance. I wonder if KL will have these girls? Could mean one more chance without having to resort to creating extra accounts. My husband says to entering under his name: "But I don't want a doll!"

Innocentsake Posted December 2, 2012 I'm so happy to hear that the Volks International After Event will be much later after Volks USA's Lottery! Now I can go for Melty with them and if I don't win I can still enter the After Event. This makes me feel so much better since I was afraid I would only have one chance to try for her and would have to decide between the two. Can't wait for the 16th to hit and get my lottery entry in! Hopefully good things will happen for me this lottery and Melty can come home with me Thanks SakuraSylph for putting me at ease!
