Lotteries... do you enter more than once?

Finally got the DD2 and VolksNews50 book in - and this is my very first lottery. It states you can enter more than once, but of course it's all based on a lottery so you may not win at all - or (i'm guessing) you might luck out and win more than what you originally wanted.

 

So, my question to you sages - do you enter a lottery drawing more than once and just hope you at least win one of the items? or do you only enter once on a lottery item and take whatever outcome happens? or do you pool friends/messageboard-peeps to see if they wanted to buy your extra head/doll/outfit in the event that you somehow are chosen for both entries?

 

I really only want *one* DDH-05 & DDH-07 prepainted head... but since it's a lottery I don't know if I should try to enter two times for each or just try it for one entry per head. I'm sure trying to sell any extras after the fact wouldn't be too difficult but still... what are your thoughts?

The lottery for the finished heads says that you can enter for multiples but there is no guarantee how many you get in the end. I think only one entry is allowed per individual/address but you can enter for 3 heads if you want. That is different from if I enter for you and you enter for you. If we both enter, then you get more chances to win than if you enter for two heads. I think the chances are good for winning a finished head though. I was able to win 3 at once time to help friends.

 

The chances for winning a lottery for a limited DD seems a lot harder. I have a friend who would ask their friends to enter also to increase chances. Even out of 12 entries (Volks USA and Volks International) for Lucy and then 12 later for Rise, we didn't win any of them. Later multiple entries for Sakuya/Maxima resulted in one success only.

 

I am not sure if there were less limiteds at the more recent Dolpas, but I used to have much better luck in the past. I used to just enter once and let fate decide if I would get a particular DD. I think there is a slightly better chance through Volks International. If I lost both lotteries and still really wanted a particular DD, I would try for her through Yahoo! Japan Auctions or private sellers. In some cases, some were Japan only (Mio, Kan'u, Marisa, Reimu) so I didn't have the option and went straight to the secondary market.

hmmm okay... so if you entered for say 3 heads - would they fulfill your 3 head order? or count that as three entries? i guess that's where I'm a tad bit confuzzled ;D

I'd probably enter twice for each head I want and hope to win at least one. If you get two, you can always sell the extra.

I entered for 3 and got 3 heads.

Can you enter through other places too like kerbey lane? i really want 05 but I want a custom face up I don't know if I could bring myself to wipe that pretty face.

I ordered my 07 from a seller on eBay so you could do something like that

oh btw, Nekopon - I meant the DDFan 2 book.. XD I wish I had another DD2 body! b/c I'm in need of some bodies for all these heads.. hehehehe

 

I'd want to wait til after they do the lottery to try to get one off of ebay b/c if it's the normal guys on there they charge way way way way too much o___O though if anyone on here ever gets an extra one I might try to buy it off them. but surely out of two lottery entries I can get one of 'em! ;D

You can also order through Natalie at Dollfie World. It's a little more expensive but minus the chance game.

I am not sure if you can enter again to increase the number of heads you want to enter for. I am sure Volks USA would be able to answer that if you asked them.
