DDs and Den of Angels...

I haven't had a huge problem with DoA. There were a couple of mods who I didn't like much as they seemed biased and if they didnt' like you would jump on the chance the send you a swift warning. But most of them seem to be no longer mods anymore? There is one mod who I don't know personally but seems to be acting very poorly off forum, but that's their business.

 

I mainly lurk and chat in threads that pertain to the doll sculpts I'm interested in at the time and sometimes stalk the MP. While I think it's sad that DDs are not very welcome there I'd much prefer posting them here with everyone else's (when I eventually get one, that is!)

I own a mixture of DDs and other dolls, and I can certainly say that while no one says it out loud, DDs certainly aren't as welcome as other dolls there, which is kind of a pity. Everyone has their own tastes; mine just lean more towards the anime look than the realistic look.

I actually learned about Dollfie Dreams there. Before I knew about this forum, I lurked in all the DD thread on DoA.

 

I think it depends on the people you're talking to. There are some who don't like anime and some of those (usually very few) seem to take out their anxiety about being associated with it on DDs and their owners. However, I'v gone to plenty of doll meets where everybody was equally in love with the DDs as they were with resin.

 

I think the big thing is that there will always be people riding their high horse to stuck up-ville. You just have to know to avoid it.

DoA is a pretty awesome resource, but sometimes their strict strict off discussion monitoring is off-putting. It makes it impossible to relaax! But whatever DD threads should really be allowed I think, pretty relevant. It's strange they 'cant even be mentioned'

DDs are allow in DoA. There also a thread for them. Regular DDs and the MDDs. You can also mention them in different threads as long as you are doing a comparison with the specific doll sculpt they are discussing in that particular thread. I do it all the time

Yeah, you can totally talk about DDs as long as it's related to the discussion (as with anything). Like if it's a thread about what you're sewing, you can talk about what you're making for your DD and post pics, etc.

I was mostly lurking on DoA but just after the DD "question" went around, My log-in stop working and the system wouldn't accept my password... At that point I just said "Ef it" and stopped bothering.. I have here and figure.fm....

I'm on DoA and I voted to keep them. And WOW...the one showing as I write this is LOVELY!
