2nd Annual Holiday Card Exchange

It's that time of year! To think about who to send your Holiday cards to!

 

Let's have a Dollfie Dream Forum Holiday Card Exchange!!!

 

*NOTE* ALL religions are MORE THAN WELCOME to participate, and everyone is encouraged to send out cards that represent their own, personal religion.

 

Participants will have the option of how many cards they would like to send out, minimum of 5... maximum of everyone on the list (you can always change your mind about how many you would like to send out... but you must send out at least 5).

 

I should also mention, it is not necessary to make a card for each individual girl of the house you are sending to... one card from your girls to their girls is perfectly wonderful. If you *want* to make individual cards, by all means, please do!!! But it's not a requirement.

 

The cut off date for participation is November 16th.

If you're interested in joining in the card swap, please PM me before (or on) November 16th.

It's a busy time of year, so that gives people a lot of time to put the names on the cards and get them out.

 

Cards will need to be in the mail by December 7th. This should give everyone plenty of time to be ready, and plenty of time for International cards to reach their destination.

 

I will maintain a list of participants (forum user name only) here in this thread, and assign card trading partners to those who opt to send out a specific number... that way we can try to make sure everyone gets some cards

 

Please feel free to post not only your intent to participate, but some info on the girls you want to receive cards, that way people will know who they're sending stuff too!!

 

This is open to International participants!! Please keep that in mind when you're letting me know how many people you'd like to send a card to! Also, it's ok, once the list gets going, to come back and change the number of people you'll ship to... since it may get very large... or it could remain small... who knows?!

I'd also like to note, for other people participating... you do NOT have to make homemade cards or send any gift other than the card! It can be a store-bought card and that is just fine! So don't be intimidated!

You blended right in, and realizing a living person was in the pic scared the daylights out of em!! XD

I currently have one girl Mako-chan (sailor Jupiter) she's a Neris

She's a tough but sweet girl who has a really girly side.

She loves baking, flowers,kendo,and boys. ^_^

THANK YOU! I was actually going to ask about that because I didn't want to have to worry about making up FIVE packages to get shipped out. I much prefer this to be simple and easy but still fun. Thanks for telling us we don't have to get all silly with the cards!

Great idea. This makes it easier, mind you we had fun making our Halloween cards and treats, but this is excellent in that its simpler. Put me down for 5 cards! As for who I want to receive the cards? Lemmesee...

You do not have to make anything for this, it is a Holiday Card exchange, which means you can use store-bought cards... that is totally fine!

SakuraSylph and I will sign up for 5 cards (5 total, each card will be from the both of us). I'll send you our new address.

 

The post office did re-direct the Halloween stickers you sent us by the way, and we received them on Tuesday. I don't know if SakuraSylph told you yet or not. Thank you! They were cute!

Tamayuki: "MOMMY, look! They say we can make lots, and LOTS of cards! How do you PM? Miss Littleberries wants us to help! Can we Mommy, can we??" *bounces on the computer chair like a trampoline as Naiomi gathers her fancy skirt up so he doesn't smash it*

 

Mommy: "Woah Tama-chan, if you keep jumping in the chair like that you'll knock Naiomi right out. You'll have to go ask Daddy."

 

Tamayuki: "Woops, sorry Naiomi." *excitedly plops in the chair one last time* "Daddy, you want to buy tons of cute stickers don't you? We might even let Yuriko send one or two on something for Sprout. We need boxes of stickers with Santas, and candy canes, and snowmen, and snowflakes, and shiny ones, and sparkaily ones, and fruitcake ones, and cookie ones..."

 

Daddy: "We'll see, Tama. I'm not sure about TONS, but maybe pounds. A few ounces, at least, anyways."

 

Tamayuki: "YAY! I want to send cards to everybody! I can make a big chart and put it on the wall so I can keep track of the cards I've done. Dolly and Naiomi and Yuriko and Sheepish Bubba can all send cards, and Rainie too if she feels like it."

 

Mommy: "But Sheepish Bubba isn't a DD."

 

Tamayuki: "Oh... Well he can help me anyways because he is really cute. He can bah Christmas songs to me when I'm making the cards."

 

Mommy: "Are you really sure you want to send cards to everyone? It could be quite a few people, and you have ones to make for the Boy's Club and a few others too."

 

Tamayuki: "I can make a new one everyday and save them in a box. You have some Christmas stickers I can start with. I saw them when we were looking at the Halloween ones. Can you get me the construction paper please Mommy?"

 

How can I say no to such a willing helper? For the moment I'd say we are all in, but I reserve the option to scale down if the list gets to be overwhelming.

 

As for participants:

 

Naiomi: A smart high schooler who loves the theater, sewing, any reason to get dressed up, and anything from 1930-1950, Victorian or Edwardian styles. She is bonkers over Charles bleepens, especially A Christmas Carol, The Nutcracker, fruitcake, practically anything antique, and loves creativity.

 

Tamayuki: A friendly little boy who loves anything and everything happy having to do with winter (his favorite season) and Christmas. The "bestest best" parts are hot chocolate, cookies, playing in the snow, baking cookies, making snow fairies, decorating cookies, candy canes, eating cookies, but most of all snowflakes.

 

Yuriko: Just a cute girl who would love any kind of card sent, especially if it has pictures of candy. She's looking forward to the surprise!

 

Rainie: A little tomboy who loves Hello Kitty, Pokemon, unicorns, training her spy troops, and glitter. She does not like ruffles or lace in the least, and strangely she doesn't like guns either. Her favorite part about Christmas is camping by a firepit and roasting marshmallows with her troops and loved ones.

 

*The above is just to help others to know a bit about our family. If someone can only send generic holiday type cards, that's great too! I don't want anyone to feel obligated to stick to the above preferences unless they feel like it.*

Nope! If your addy is the same, you're all set! And yes... how could you say no???

Also, scaling down how many cards you send out is perfectly fine... the only solid number is the 5 card minimum. I know last year we had quite a few participants!!
