Tsukihenshin Posted November 5, 2012 Ok so I read about the Lottery and all and I do get the idea kinda. but it seems it is just for the Complete Dolls. Is that True? I am just asking about the Base: http://www.volksusa.com/ddb0004.html Do you get that the same way? because I have been waiting for Volks to have that body in stock for a long time. Am I crap out of Luck? Dose anyone know How to enter the Lottery? *Also Will a Chest Part from DDD fit on a Obitsu of the same size? http://www.volksusa.com/ddop0034.html on: http://junkyspot.com/obitsu60.html http://www.parabox.jp/eng_new/60_body.html THANKS GUYS! RaveOfNightmares Posted November 5, 2012 Base bodies are not released through lotteries, rather, they are sold in the shops and online. That body has been discontinued, however, the parts to assemble the new DDDy III body are on sale on volks.jp and will soon be up for sale at volksusa. I can't answer the question regarding mixing volks and obitsu parts, as I've no experience in such things. 21 DD girls: Mio, Marina, Yui, Yoko, Nia, Lily, Arisu, Akina, Momo, Arisa, Yukina, Ayaka, Niimi, Eri, Millefeuille, Ekisu, Chitose, Miyabi, KOS-MOS v.4, Hatsune Miku and God Eater Alisa. 2B in a hopeful future. mitsuki Posted November 5, 2012 I agree with RaveOfNightmares. He is a knowledgeable cat. The bodies might not ever be restocked again. I don't know what parts are compatible with DDdy either.
Kumi Posted November 5, 2012 Probably almost everything about Obitsu knows K2! and he afair made some Obitsu-DD hybrids. But he's available either on DoA or on DolliehSanctuary, not here. As Tira-chan pointed out, the DDDy bust will fit on the 47/55/60cm Obitsu bodies. There are a couple of caveats. Tsukihenshin Posted November 5, 2012 I am looking at the Skin colors and II seems to be white compared to DDdy Dose anyone have color side by side photos? http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-70052297082953_2233_98618247 http://ep.yimg.com/ca/I/yhst-70052297082953_2236_7282219 BTW a DDdy body is ONLY : 278.00 and to put together a DDdyII it will be 472.00...................why is is much higher? I don't see any difference between them beside the color And where else beside VOLKS can you buy parts? THANKS guys so much for your input I really appreciate it
Yukamina Posted November 6, 2012 If they are both "normal" skin, then the color difference is just in the photos/lighting, they are actually the same color. You can probably find a body on the second hand market if you look around? Maybe keep an eye out on Volks USA and Volks international websites to see if any come in stock. They had some in stock just recently at Volks USA... sold out quickly, though. My Etsy Shop ~~~ My DeviantArt
SisterKyoya Posted November 6, 2012 BTW a DDdy body is ONLY : 278.00and to put together a DDdyII it will be 472.00...................why is is much higher? If you are comparing an older DDdy to a newer DDdy, they have undergone some significant internal structural changes so they are less likely to have the joints crack as well as changes that broaden the range of poseability. I know there is a huge difference in just getting my husband's DDII to sit down compared to Naiomi's DDS body that is designed like the DDIII. Naiomi can sit properly rather than always being tilted back a bit. If you are referring to the completed DDdy girls in general, the additional cost comes from the head, eyes, wig, the slip she comes in, the painted face, and I'm sure some assembly fees as well to put the eyes in. ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
Tsukihenshin Posted November 6, 2012 GOOD NEWS! I was told by VOLKS: Thank you for contacting us and for your interest in the DollfieDream Dynamite Base Body. We should be restocking more of this body sometime soon. It is scheduled to arrive in our next shipment which will be around late November or early December. Stock will be low and many customers have been waiting for this item, so we thank you for your understanding if you are not able to order it this time. Please let us know if you have any other questions. mitsuki Posted November 6, 2012 DDdyIII parts from Volks USA: $24 USD DDS-BF-01 / Upper Torso Internal Frame $96 USD DDIII-A-01 / Arms (Internal Frame Included) $48 USD DDdyIII-B-01 / Normal Bust $41 USD DDIII-FO-01 / Feet (Internal Frame Included) $62 USD DDdyIII-HL-01 / Thighs (Internal Frame Included) $62 USD DDIII-LL-01 / Shins (Internal Frame Included) $69 USD DDdyIII-W-01 / Waist (Internal Frame Included) Sub Total: $402 Shipping fee: maybe around $20 Total Amount: $420 Plus another $24 if you get hands from Volks USA. So the total would be around $446. DDIII parts from Volks USA: $24 USD DDS-BF-01 / Upper Torso Internal Frame $96 USD DDIII-A-01 / Arms (Internal Frame Included) $41 USD DDIII-B-01 / M Bust $41 USD DDIII-FO-01 / Feet (Internal Frame Included) $62 USD DDIII-HL-01 / Thighs (Internal Frame Included) $62 USD DDIII-LL-01 / Shins (Internal Frame Included) $69 USD DDIII-W-01 / Waist (Internal Frame Included) Sub Total: $395 Shipping fee: maybe around $20 Total Amount: $415 Plus another $24 if you get hands from Volks USA. So the total would be around $439. Aoi 2nd and Yukino 2nd are $508 (around $530 with shipping). So it is only around $90 more to get a head with a faceup, a wig, panties, and a slip. If this pricing is consistent, maybe DDdyIII Miko is around that price too. It makes it much less appealing to put together your own body in comparison to getting a standard model. I miss the old days of the DDdy and DDII pricing. I hope you can get a DDdy body.

Kumi Posted November 6, 2012 You cannot buy parts for any II generation DD body. They are not available at all and never were available. II gen was only sold as a whole body. Chest and hands are the only replaceable options.
Tsukihenshin Posted November 7, 2012 Are there any Clothing Guides? Will 60cm - 1/3 BJD doll stuff fit the DD? Where is the best place to get Clothing? What size wig dose she take? I need to know what to look for
Misheru Posted November 7, 2012 WARNING!! NUDE DOLLY BEWBS PHOTO BELOW - JUST IN CASE THAT MEANS NSFW - DO NOT PROCEED IF THAT IS A PROBLEM FOR YOU ATM! THANK YOU. There are certain parts you can hybrid between DD and Obitsu, the chest piece being one - with a few adjustments of you are willing to compromise and/or modify a bit. You can also put a DD head on an Obitsu body. Here is the info thread from K2's tutorial on DS: http://dolliehsanctuary.com/sanctuary/viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4928&p=52319&hilit=dollfie+dream+obitsu+dd+obitsu+hybrid#p52319 and in case that doesn't post properly, here is the gist of what he says: "...the DDDy bust will fit on the 47/55/60cm Obitsu bodies. There are a couple of caveats. 1) The transition between the cirbleepference of the bust and the torso isn't the smoothest, but under most clothing it doesn't show. 2) The necks on the Dollfie Dream busts are longer than their Obitsu counterparts. On the 55cm and 60cm bodies it isn't as noticeable but on the 47cm body I found trimming a few millimeters off the top looked better proportionally. The Obitsu neck piece will fit (very) snugly in the DD neck vinyl, however it may not connect to the neck attachment peg on the chest part. The vinyl is still thick enough to support the weight of the head without any drooping problems, but you will lose a little posability with the neck part and chest part not connected. 3) The Dollfie Dream body is slightly narrower at the shoulders. With the DD busts on the Obitsu skeleton, the chest part is too wide and with the arms pushed all the way in there will still be a little gap between the shoulder vinyl and the shoulder ball joint. This can be remedied by cutting a few millimeters off of the arm receiving tubes on the chest part. With both arms pushed all the way in, measure the gap between the upper arm ball and the shoulder vinyl on both sides. Take note the skeleton will be a little loose and move side to side inside the bust vinyl. Add the two measurements (they should be about the same), divide in half and cut this amount off each of the chest piece receiving tubes. If you are looking for that "push up bra" effect, you might just hang on a bit and get the new DD2 shapely bust (DDII-B-04) once it hits North America. The DD2 busts have a smaller bottom cirbleepference than the DDDy busts and transition to the Obitsu torsos better. As always, Volks normal skin is the closest match to Obitsu white skin." Here is an old pic of some of K2's dolls and he has several hybrids with DD busts on Obitsu bodies (warning - doll bewbs!): > > > > > > > > Of course, K2 can do almost anything with a 60cm vinyl doll. But it is nice to know it can be done. I have a regular DD bust on a 55cm Obitsu body (60cm torso) and I still need to shorten the arm pegs as K2 says, but the fit on the torso is great and doesn't affect mobility at all. I hope this helps. ~ ❥ Misheru...the *M* in H&M House of Vinyl ❥ ~ ℒℴѵℯ❤ ( ͒ ु•·̫• ू ͒) ˚₊✩‧ All your dolliehs are belong to us! ✩‧₊˚ ( ͒ ु•·̫• ू ͒)
Zero Posted November 7, 2012 I am not to sure how I feel about the DDy III. i know the movement is goting to be better. But they are useing the same chest part that the DD III is useing. And that part has had more problems then it should. But what do I know. I did not see anything wrong with the DDy II nor the DD II bodies. I think it would be better if Volks fixed the problem with the frame first then try to sale something that you will have to replace in a month or two. So my question is what is making people lose there minds over this doll and want to spend more for a girl that may give them more problems then they need? I actually waited for the DDdy3 parts to become availalble because I wasn't fond of the posing limitations of the original DDdy(2). Whether you're building one from scratch, or buying one of the new standard girls, I recommend investing a few dollars in these reinforcement pieces from CoolCat - http://us.sk-coolcat.com/front/bin/ptlist.phtml?Category=382741 For a very technical explanation of why these work - check out Wolfheinrich's blog - http://www.wolfheinrich.com/2012/10/26/dollfie-dream-iii-shoulder-reinforcement-project/ Archangeli.net | Twitter: @MsArchangeli | YouTube: Archangeli
Till Troll Posted November 7, 2012 I had no idea the type III bodies are so much more expensive, and so hard to obtain with stock issues. I was almost debating selling a DD or 2 as I haven't done anything with them in a long time and didn't like the idea of them being neglected. But now I think I'll redo their face ups and give them a new chance, given how hard it would be to 'regret and undo' letting them go. I think this realisation will make me value my girls more, and treat them better!
Misheru Posted November 8, 2012 People go crazy over a DDdy because the body is so beautiful - the lines, the curves, the voluptuousness. There is nothing that can compare if it is your 'cup of tea'. I have DDdy1, DDdy2, DD2, DD3, DDS, Obitsu 60, Obitsu 50, Yamato bodies...all have their own specialness. But nothing compares to the original DDdy to me. The new one comes close - really close, but the original just has something. I cannot explain it. And Yoko's body is the pinnacle, IMHO. I wish they would release that bust as an option. But that is another topic. *sigh* ~ ❥ Misheru...the *M* in H&M House of Vinyl ❥ ~ ℒℴѵℯ❤ ( ͒ ु•·̫• ू ͒) ˚₊✩‧ All your dolliehs are belong to us! ✩‧₊˚ ( ͒ ु•·̫• ू ͒)

And I know the DDy III is to have the better posing. But at a closer look the range does not look that much better fom what I can see. Wolfheinrich uses an aftermarkit bust that is softer then vinyl that the stander bust uses. So the range looks to be not much better, unless the chest joints are strong to hold that pose. I see the range in the arms being far more better then the DDyII. As for the reinforcement parts that is a very good thing to get but why is that Volks does not try to fix this problem. I am not trying to bash on the doll. I like the DDy III its the frame that makes it hard for me to get onboard.

Misheru Posted November 8, 2012 Completely agree! Glad to know someone else thinks so. Most folks I have seen say the body (vs 1 and vs 2) are the same except for flexibility. They just don't seem exactly so to me. Nothing against the new DDdy body, just saying that it is not the same. And yes, I wish Yoko's bits (edited for typo - I meant bist, not bots...lol) were options. She has the best bod by far.
