I am going to keep one of mine as Melty, but the other is going to be a custom Elwing! I've wanted a DD of her for as long as I can remember, and I am just so so happy that I finally have an elf girl~ Melty #1 will be cosplaying as Xecty so I can do shots of them together! There might be a lot of koreans and chinese that have also won, maybe singapore, etc. too. But they have their own forums I guess! Yeah I think some people just used putty, or a small clear hair tie. I think that'd work okay in camera shots if you try to make it look natural The hair-ties are probably better so I'll try them. On a Volks doll I would pay the amount for the doll, in this case 64k, I would pay about 6k shipping and then I would be charged about 26k in customs fees. That means for me, Melty direct from Volks would have cost me a total of 91k When buying off yahoo japan, although her ending price is less than Mandarake’s cost, when you factor in deputy fees and double shipping, then consider the fact that most reputable deputy services clearly state that they will NOT mark the value for the item for less, so I would get customs fees on a Yahoo Japan purchase as well. This means in total I would have paid more than the cost of both the Volks and the Mandarake Melty's. I’m buying one of the available Melty’s from Mandarake, the cost of the doll was 90k and the shipping charge was 7k. Mandarake will mark the value of the parcels lower than what it actually is, so if I order from Mandarake I can avoid custom charges. Therefore, the price difference between buying brand new from Volks and buying from Mandarake isn’t much different at all. The price difference between Yahoo Japan and Mandarake, I would pay MORE to buy it from Yahoo Japan, even though her ending price is less. That is the reason I went with the Mandarake doll and consider it a fair purchase in my cirbleepstances.
