I'm just having the problem that her legs are really loose around the knee parts which gives her a hard time standing unsupported...

And also that her shoulders are really stiff.

But I'd rather have stiff shoulders rather than shoulders that fall to pieces when the doll is taken out of the box for the first time.....

Let's see if we can fix her legs this weekend, just need to get out the hairdryer and pull her legs apart. C:

I got Melty with no noticeable faults, but does anyone feel that her hat is too small? I always have to really tug it down her head and I'm worried that if I do this constantly the hairs on her wig will become loose. I lost a couple already D:

 

Ah, and I guess the slits behind her knees do look a bit large, but other than that I can stare at her all day! Everything about her is so loveable!

Melty is a great girl. I love the pictures of her. Congrats to everyone that got her.

I guess its small when she has a wig on >.< I tried it without her wig and it fits perfectly >.<

Are the legs pushed into the sockets all the way?

 

Also, do you have any DDIIIs or newer DDS bodies? The stiff shoulders is an intentional thing, so the arms are strong enough to hold up swords. The downside is it puts a lot of pressure on the shoulder sockets. Make sure to move the arms slowly and carefully whenever you need to move them to try to minimize chances of cracking. Only way to prevent cracking for sure is to get extra support, like the Coolcat pieces.

I have a DDS Millhi too, so there's a big difference in their bodies for me considering how fragile the Millhi DDS body is. XD

My Melty doesn't wear a head cap under her wig. I guess I'll just minimise the amount of times I put on and take off her hat. Maybe make her wear it with all sorts of outfits. The hat, as well as her stockings (those straps Dx)

I just did a 1 day photoshoot of her partial default outfit, just her upper body >.< the stockings... too hard to fix :\

I just wanted to say that Melty's hat does fit other DDs- at least, it fits my Yuki who wears her default wig & a headcap. D: I have to tug it down but it doesn't damage the hat- I guess Melty's head may be a little bigger, though?

...He also noted that the ribbon from the front of the corset will instantly stain the torso.

 

 

The gloves are like mittens too! They don't look all too great like this!

I was looking at a Melty auction and it looks like the red bow on her default outfit is dangerous too:

Well my Melty has been wearing her default set, including bow, since I first got her. I just checked her out but the pink bow has given no stains on mine.

I am wondering if the humidity and temperature of the environment make a big difference. I am in a cold dry climate so I am hoping that helps. I am sure a hot humid environment would make dye escape fabrics faster. Still, I am afraid to have the bow too close to her face if I were to use her default outfit.

Melty is soo cute. I am wondering where I can find more information about this one piece torso of hers as I would like to know what is the difference between one piece vs DD2 and DD3 is the internal structure different too?

It is a DD Sister body, which is slightly shorter and slightly differently shaped than DDII or DDIII. There are other threads on the forums that show you what DDSister looks like. The one-piece torso is exactly the same as the regular DD Sister, except for the torso part is a single unit rather than two pieces. The skeleton is the same.

 

The positive aspect of single-piece is that it looks nice on the belly, but the negative aspect is that you cannot swap bust sizes on it. Whether those things are a benefit or a problem depends on the character you want your doll to be.
