A palace for Momo

Yesterday I went to Aiete Palace in San Sebastian. I've tried to go there more than once, but I always had lost along the way >_<

 

This time, I got a printed Google map and went to find that marvelous place...This time I found it! I must say, that the day was not the best, it has rained the previous day and that day too, only gave me half an hour to take photos before starts raining again!

 

I have to go back, it's beautiful! And with the rain, I haven't had time to see everything. And I heard that the palace is usually open, and is extremely good decorated so I've to go there soon (Inside it's like this http://img190.imageshack.us/img190/2017/plataformaarquitecturac.jpg)

 

Something about Aiete Palace

 

"In 1865 the Dukes of Bailén bought the land hosting the palace and years later they ordered the present building's construction to French architect Adolfo Ombrecht.

 

The compound was completed with the gardener's house, the stables, the coach house and a wide French-style garden designed by Pierre Ducasse.

 

In 1912 the property was bought by the Alcalá Galiano family that, in 1940 sold it to the Town Council. From 1941 to 1975 it served as summer residence for General Francisco Franco.

 

In 1977 the gardens were opened to the public -with 74,400 square metres, paths, pond, dovecot- while the palace hosts different social or cultural events.

 

Nowadays the Town Council has restored it and establish a Centre on Human Rights and the local Cultural Centre."

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

We met this people with Steampunk costumes, and Momo want to take a photo with them :3

That's a beautiful location. The red fallen leaves in contrast with the green and the red/brownish look of Momo. Pretty

Truly gorgeous and stunning pictures. The colors are so lush, rich, and vivid. Momo looks fantastic in them. That looks like a wonderful place to visit, I hope that you are able to go back soon and get more beautiful pictures.
