Eir's Late Night Activities (Non-explicit kitsune nudity)

Cute story. It seems that kitsune is the exception to the rule regarding sleeping with clothes on eh?

It's nice that Eir is trying to make sure that kitsune doesn't make the same mistakes regarding shiny stuff that others of their kind have made. Eir's comment regarding Rin and killing is a little ominous sounding though.

The angles, the lighting, the color palette, and the juxtaposition of various textures and shapes all set such a beautiful impressionist painting mood. The photos come across slice-of-life and yet elegant at the same time. I feel almost as if I am looking into a secret world most people would never see.

 

It adds more mystery to Eir's character and a touch of sweetness about her as well seeing how she interacts with kitsune or how she allows herself to interact with her in this particular incidence. She always seems to be holding back and trying to manage how much anyone sees of her personality and how close she lets them get to her yet at the same time yearning to indulge in being close to someone and painfully aware of how close others are in your household. I think she sees it as something completely unattainable for her.

I'm liking this change from your usual lighting style! Then again I'm a sucker for dramatic lighting. (Maybe partly because I can't seem to get a clear shot with anything less than every single light turned on. XD)

 

It's cute to see the two kitsunes hanging out and bonding, but. . . "We'll have to work on that for our purposes"? I'm a bit worried. . . Do Kitsunes only gain tails by being killed and coming back or something? Or is it even worse than that?

Well yeah, it was just in the Empress's New PJs story that kitsune brushed me off completely when I tried to convince her again to wear clothes at night. I'm obviously not mean enough as she just doesn't care about my rules like she does the ones Sakura set down for her. I get no respect around here at all.

 

And I definitely agree that Eir's statement about Rin was ominous. I'm not 100% sure that she's really the best person to be teaching kitsune the ropes. kitsune seems a bit more pure of heart than Eir. I'd hate to see that ruined. And thanks on kitsune's look in general.

Well I thought maybe calling this NSFW was a bit strong. I didn't want people to skip it thinking it was filled with explicit photos or something. But I felt some heads up would be appreciated.

 

Thanks on the photos. I use a Canon DSLR. I picked it mostly for its handy flip out and rotate LCD screen, as I figure really just about any DSLR is capable of better photos than I'll ever take. But wow, 78 photos in the trash? You must do things a lot differently than me. I think I snapped 14-15 photos total to get the 12 I used for this story.

Thank you. I like how the lighting turned out here too. And really all I was going for was only using the DD table lamps to show that the kitsune were up late at night. The nice directional aspects were just a fortunate bonus. (This is actually the first time I've turned the lamps on for photos I think.)

Thanks. kitsune seems to prefer a simple life style. If not for the limited supply of donuts I'm capable of providing I think Saber and kitsune could get along well.

Wow that's a lot of mileage I got out of a couple nightlights / DD table lamps. But actually I really like how these photos turned out. Cheap directional lights + good white balance correction for the win. Thank you for all the kind words.

I think you're making a lot of good points here. Eir really seems to be filled with self hatred so I don't think she feels she deserves friendship. And she's such a chameleon in her reactions to people that I wonder if she even really knows her own true personality anymore. I wonder if she's spent so much time disguising herself as others and telling people exactly what she thinks they want to hear that she's lost a part of herself in the process.

I liked how the lighting here turned out as well. Didn't expect it to look this good using two tiny little DD table lamps. Of course the white balance correction was very necessary as those lamps are awfully yellow. As far as getting good low light shots, this was much easier than the shots I did once of kitsune outside in the dark. I had to use a flashlight and manual focus then take the shot in the dark and hope it turned out ok.

I agree it's nice to see these two together again, although I worry a little about what kind of role model Eir is for kitsune. But Eir does seem pretty careful about trying to guide kitsune down a good path different from the one Eir herself apparently followed. And really, can Eir be much worse of a role model than Ilya?

 

As for her ominous discussion about Rin, I don't know what she means but I definitely agree it's worrisome. Maybe you're right and kitsunes need to earn the resurrection merit badge before they can advance to the rank of twin tails. But that seems unlikely.

 

Sadly I think it might fall into the worse than that category. You don't suppose it's all really nothing and Eir's just a major drama queen do you?

I feel you on the issue of losing shots due to them not being good enough, although for me it's due to having tremors.

Example:

One afternoon I took my Fuji X-Pro1 (note: no image stabilizer) out to shoot Saber Extra on a motorcycle. I took 15 shots, only 1 of which was a keeper due to blurring from my tremors.

 

The following afternoon I took the same camera out to shoot Millefeuille on the motorcycle. I took 15 shots, all of which were keepers because I wasn't shaking so much that day and I bumped the ISO a little to get better shutter speeds to compensate for what shaking I was doing.

 

This is why I love my Sony A77 and A99 so much, with their in-body stabilization able to compensate for me under most cirbleepstances.

Yeah I use a tripod because even though the lenses I use have good stabilization I still struggle to get shots that aren't blurry.

The blog (or site since I really don't blog) has never required a login for reading. Only for commenting. I tried opening it up to comments w/o logins but all I got from that was spam. That and if people don't sign up they don't have avatars and don't have the option for email notification of replies because of the way I've chosen to code up the site. And even the signup is very simple. Enter desired screenname and email address and it sends you a password, all done.

Yeah, she doesn't seem like as nice of a fox on the inside as on the outside. Very cold, calculating, and self-serving it seems. But I still have no idea what it is she wants.
