Miku Posing, November Techniques Edition

So I started doing this photoshoot because I saw on Dpreview an article about Canon 6D Sample images. I never looked at those images, but I did see a comment about them looking flat because the in-camera JPEGs don't have very fine tuned contrast...and that got me thinking....

These photos are probably reasonably uncharacteristic of what I usually end up producing, but since Miku makes an excellent model, since she's as close to the consummate model, actress and singer as I have, she was perfect for a learning session. I'm pretty happy with them, I'd say they're better than what I usually come up with.

So enjoy! I know I did learning some new techniques, and Miku sure did because she loves having her photo taken

Canon 6D or 60D? And the colors look a little super saturated. Is that what you were going for (in I assume post processing of some sort)?

Pretty girl though, I love all the blue.

I dunno, it was the article at this link: http://www.dpreview.com/news/2012/11/19/Canon

The irony being, I shoot Nikon.

And yes, I like my bright bold colours :3 although her wig and eyes are pretty bright already, sort of like trying to take photos of Cirno, really. You'll have a very saturated blue.

Ah it's about their new full frame, which apparently is the 6D. I didn't know they were bringing out a new one so I thought it was a typo. Sorry.

Yep, Canon's releasing the 6D, a bottom-of-the-line full frame with the same 8 year old sensor tech so that they have a cheap entry-level full frame model. Seeing the spec-sheet for it did not impress me, as it has similar to/less features than their entry level APS frame bodies do.

The shots are a little too oversaturated for my tastes, but I'm used to your particular choices in saturation by now anyway. The shopped joints in a couple of the shots really messed with my eyes though.

beautiful set of shots buddy, I'm actually thinking of upgrading my 30D to this new 6D, had a chance to play around with it at a camera expo last month, and i'm pretty happy for what it's cost.

Great shots! I really appreciate the bold colors, being fairly colorblind myself. I really aish that I could use the saturate slider on the whole world. Anyways, lovely poses and beautiful pictures.
