Silica Project (Sword Art Online) - Clothes WIP! -

Everything looks perfect together *__* Can't wait to see, the wig on her head the beads are a little bit too small (just my taste xD) but nevertheless nice progress on your Silica! *__*

 

beads are slightly small but it was the largest i could find, tell me if you find any larger ones. they also varies in size between each artwork of her, i think they'll work for now. i can't wait for the head and eyes!

the head arrived!, also the spray. now i just need to find pastels and i can get the faceup done!, Eyes are delivered so they'll arrive soon too

 

Here is the head with a test styling of one twintail. i think it will work for now but i still want to find some bigger beads, if anyone finds some please note me!

I'm as good as done with the faceup!.

 

first of i sprayed the head with mr super clear flat, then i used a marker pen to scetch up the details. its a marker pen taht can be washed of with water if a redo is needed.

 

First layer of the eyebrows done in a lighter colour (vallejo plague brown). heavily watered down for smooth layers. NOTE that i sprayed another layer of sealant spray BEFORE painting, as the water based acrylics otherwise mixed up with black marker pen!!!.

 

Second layer of Citadel Snakebite leather, a good match with silica's hair color. also a layer of dark brown as a base for the eyes themselves.

 

final layer of citadel chaos black on the eyes. also a wash of baal red in the mouth

 

Blush done with Jovi classcolor chalk pastels i found in a local hobby shop. now ready for a final few coats of sealer spray!

 

 

and a little update on the small bead issue. i bought two sizes of larger wooden orbs in a local hobby shop, going to try both sizes to check if size match better. will at least do a nice temporary use.

Sprayed with "filler spray" to remove the wood textures and alow my red shiny spray paint to get smooth and shine. filler spray is great for things like this, can bef ound in car workshop stores.

after i spray one or two layers of sealant to protect the blush i might put the wig on again to try the new beads on, they are sprayed red and drying right now. other than that i need to wait for my SQ eyes to arrive, they are shipped but since its xmas and all next week i might have to wait awhile ><. i also await volks to restock the DDS parts, right now all they have that i want are arms, hands and the S-bust torso. might aswell order those meanwhile. are any other sites having stock on DDS parts? the ones i saw on ebay where twice the price volks are asking so i'd pass on those

New beads added after sprayed red!, i kind of prefered the more metallic red of the small beads but this worked alot better than i expected and size wise alot better. some of the hair is still a bit messy but i'll try to fine-style her once my eyes arrive!, i have to remove the wig to insert them anyway

Eyes arrived so i have now attached them with eye putty. but i feel it won't stick too good, is glue gun a better option?

 

i was surprised when the eyes arrived because they also put a reindeer hairband in the package, i xmas bonus i suppose

oh well. i guess i'll order what volks have in stock for now. torso still means i can sew the top part, hands mean i can mod the gloves and arms means i can do her bracelets done for now

well, i will sew the outfit myself. i bought a pair of matching shoes i will modify, and the armour will be resin cast

Are you looking for DDS (normal skin) feet? If so I have some I'm not using and have been sitting on my shelf for almost a year I'd be willing to sell. The have never been used because I never finished the body. It was intended for my Rainie but she decided that she hated the size of the DDS. I have the lower legs too but since you already have them it would be kinda pointless.

yeh,i kind of got all her parts sorted now though!, but i will keep that in mind for my next girl, which is Mato Kuroi (also DDS). but she's white skin and volks usually have more of those in stock (less popular i assume)

She is looking really good! Can't wait to see her when she is completed
