volks dress design competition

i'm very curious about this competition, i saw from the dollfiedreamblog that the moe kuma outfit is actually a design from somebody. does anyone know when will volks have the competition again?? ^^, i would like to join it this time,,

Summer 2011 was the timing for the outfit design contest for the Afterschool Akihabara Girls. It was a promotion affiliated with a new store opening in Akihabara.

It is really fun to see the outfit design contest entries become real outfits:

 

 

This one is the latest to be executed into a real outfit in December 2012 a year and a half after the contest.

Akira and Mariko-sensei were also designs submitted by fans that became a reality. I think the contest was held in summer 2010.

 

These two are the chosen two grand prize designs. They will progress toward a plan to turn them into DD. It will be a while before they are released, but their progress will be followed. By all means enjoy!

 

The description includes her birthday, height, weight, that she is an S-bust DDS, and her relationship to the other Afterschool Akihabara girls. She is half British and half Japanese. She is Alna's rival. Akira was released at Home Town Dolpa Kobe July 31, 2011.

 

 

Here shoes came out different from the design but still have the bow in the back.

 

 

Mariko-sensei is Moe's teacher. She was the first DDS girl with the L-bust (shapely) and the first white skin DDS. She was released at Dolpa Tokyo 26 December 18, 2011.

 

 

 

Mariko's shoes are a different color but a similar design to the one submitted on paper.

There is a lot of fan involvement in the Afterschool Akihabara Girls. I think it is really cool that Volks does that. I don't remember if there was a competition this year. Maybe they are catching up with the commitments from previous competitions. Perhaps there will be another competition summer 2013 or even one during the upcoming winter or spring instead.

erm,, from what i saw, they'll give you cash prize,, about 50000 yen??

mitsuki,,, those are really awesome!! i can't believe some of the outfits that volks made are from people's designs.. cool!!!!
