Winterplane Posted November 26, 2012 If you use water color pencils to do a face-up, do you still have to use Mr.superclear. I think I read something about colors rubbing off if you don't use it with paint, but can that happen if you use a pencil which you don't have to let dry? But at the same time I'm thinking maybe it would be easy to come off... Are there different types of watercolors that can hold on better? Thank you! Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
chiseen Posted November 26, 2012 Yes. You will have to use MSC. First for base layer to create a better grip for the pencils and pastel but also to prevent staining. You'd still want to seal the face up with MSC when its finished even if its done with water-colour pencils.
