Christmas 2012! what are you dolly plans!

I haven't really made any plans yet for Christmas. It'd be nice to get all of my ladies some cute stocking stuffers.

I'm almost set for the girl I'm giving my fiance for Christmas. All need now is the head. Minor detail, right? I I've gotten everything else except that.

Hahah just the head XD I'm shore the wig and eyes will look ok until there the head there.

I don't really have any doll plans for Christmas this year... (That probably sounds like sacrilege, haha~) I'd like a place to set the dolls out on display during the holiday, but I haven't figured out where just yet. I'm still thinking about it. I don't plan on getting a doll-sized tree or anything because my home is already very small; it would feel cluttered to add more things like that right now.

Well maybe this year just pop a little bit of tinsel near your girls then maybe next year you closet look at getting something bigger.

 

Oh!! maybe draw a tree on paper and take it to the wall behind them! then buy some cheep tinsel and stickers and make your own 2D tree ^^ note everything needs to be bought for theses girls ^^

My parents have always been very environmentalist, so when I grew up we had a big fabric tree that mom made and she hung on the wall every year. I think it was just cotton batting sandwiched between two pieces of green cotton broadcloth with a brown felt "trunk" hanging down. She sewed real ornaments to it, adding new ones for significant life events in our family. I hadn't thought of doing a scaled-down doll version until you mentioned the paper one. I think I will have to start drafting that for next year. I need to remember to take some reference pictures next time I go visit them around the holidays.

Drawing a tree or a fireplace or other decorations is a very cute idea~ You certainly can decorate without buying new things. Paper chains, or maybe a pom-pom garland of yarn, could also be cute~ Or maybe a doll-sized Advent calendar with pictures behind each door (rather than candy).

 

In my case, the first step is to find a place to display them. n_n I keep intending to get a shelf or bookcase (not just for dolls, but for storage in general), but we don't have one yet. My dolls stay in their carry bag quite a bit simply because there isn't anywhere else to put them right now.

I know big packs of construction paper are pretty cheap and I think the paper tree would be cute and you really wouldn't have to keep it unless you wanted. Reminds me of projects we did in grade school. Those were always the best!

 

If even that is too much, you could always have your girl(s) holding any Christmas cards you get, or maybe one from you!

I have no plans to get my girls anything more. They already got a new sister (Melty) and Lina got a Christmas outfit that she will wear until next Christmas XD. The rest get nothing

 

I may start spending my free time trying to do my own face-up though.

I plan to try to get caught up on my storyline a bit over the holiday break. Doubt I'll do much of a holiday one, but I'd like to move the story along.

I finally got my Christmas photo done and uploaded Hopefully, I'll be able to do some photostories of the 'couples' in my House and get their Christmas wishes fulfilled.
