Your Theme Song?

Ever have a song that you associate with you and your Dollfies?

 

I was listening to this as I was driving to work one day:

 

 

And, what came to mind was another post about what others think of us and the hobby.....

 

If anyone gives you grief, just think of that.......

Hmm, interesting question! I would have to give two answers tho.

 

My first answer is for how I view my girls and myself as a unit. I see us as close and whenever I'm away from them, I want to be home with them. And I think they feel the same. So I would choose my all time favorite song to explain this to others...

And for my other preference.... I think my more hardcore girls like Mai, Ryomou and Miyuki inspire this style. I can totally see this song being played as those three girls enter the ring for a fight. All of them dressed to the nines, ready to rumble and lay out some peeps. Just picture the song starting to play with the lights down and then as soon as the first beats hit, the fireworks go off and the girls step out onto the ramp, lights flashing, fists pumping and hips wiggling. And there's just enuff time for them to reach the ring before the second heavy beat kicks in to really make an impact.

 

It has the right amount of sexy to be feminine but it also has the backbeat, speed and power to show the girls mean business.

perhaps a bit off the post topic, but i got a rather bad ally mcbeal flashback with the biscuit doing his barry white thing infront of the mirror.

 

But to the actual point personally in general it would be be difficult to point out a specific theme song overall, due to the variety of music I listen to, would depend on the mood, and what I have thought of for any of me ladies character.

 

couple examples i could think of quickly:

Shino is a bit difficult but I think Honky tonk woman from the stones is a nice overall fun tune to go with her. or on occasion Bohemian rhapsody from queen, and Just you wait Henry Higgins from my fair lady.

 

Speaking of which Audrey, as her name was inspired with My fair lady, would go nice with Wouldnt it be lovely from the musical.

 

Feena for me has a certain serenity that would go well with pachelbells kanon.

 

Yonkko being a bit of a fun loving sort might do with California girls from the beach boys. or any number of Jerry Reed songs.

 

Just caught an episode of american chopper on discovery, and thought Joan Jetts version of Bad reputation would be perfect for my Haruhi being up to certain mischiefs.

 

While scrounging through my music collection just stumbled a perfect theme for the local catgirl Nyaa, which would be the Pink panther theme.

 

For Beatrice nothing else will do but Tango. Either La bleepparsita, or El Choclo

 

Yukimaru is supposed to be a ghost girl of sorts, so for her it was a bit difficult to think of a appropreate eery but not alltogether depressing tune, but Moby's First cool hive came to the rescue.

I have to say that this is an awesome topic. I hadn't really thought about it but this is a great way to really pinpoint who your DD are, and it would be fun to make a DD character based on a song too.

Rainie hasn't been finished very long despite the fact that she came when Tamayuki did, her personality has been clear from the beginning, and she is by far the biggest pokemon fan in our house. I was cracking up all the way through this song because it's so perfectly her: Voltaire- Goodnight Demon Slayer

 

It will be interesting to see how the three unknowns in my sig and Kos-Mos work out in this respect, but I'm pretty sure the "leaf" has already picked one out.

Not really into The Misfits,I hear Danzig was good, but I love the Vindictives.

haha The Misfits sound like something I could play. Don't get the wrong idea. I can't play or sing but they sound very garage. Danzig is more refined or professional sounding. I like Danzig too. I think it is kind of like we listened to The Misfits because we wanted to hear more of Glenn Danzig even if it was less coherent sounding than Danzig. It is fun either way. Hearing it now reminds me of 20 years ago.

Yeah I remember going to a back alley block party many many years ago, and this punk chick was singing really badly, and her band sounded more out of a dumpster than a garage. And yet I had to admire their guts to at least play and have fun with it.

I agree. There is playing/singing/performing with heart which you can appreciate even if the person is not skilled. The screeching sounds interesting but I would probably feel like you do about it if I heard it.

If they don't, could have been a nod to the bands by producer, wardrobe, etc. They heavily use high and avant garde fashion in a lot of their videos. And give nods to a variety of musical genres.

I suspect it's mostly for fashion, as the embellished jackets are apparently a coveted special order product from a particular store, and I found mention that similar jackets have been worn by other YG artists. I think the spiked and studded hardware and the band names and logos were supposed to invoke a sense of "rebellion" for the singers. (Although if 2NE1 were also fans of the bands in question that would be pretty neat~ n_n)

Well in regards to my dolls I would have to say Ace Frehley's Dolls. The song sound is kind of awful but the lyrics are awesome. lol
