Sh*t Dollfie Owners Say!

So now she's sitting on the sofa in her underwear, covered in zit cream.

I got a good laugh from that one! Thanks!

The reality is even weirder than the statement alone!

I really need to stop the mental imaging............

Just realized I forgot to mention she's bald at the moment, too.

I was walking through Wal-Mart with my fiancee tonight and I was looking for silicone earplugs. He asked me what I would need those for (he's not really interested in dolls) and without even thinking about it I said "The silicone holds her eyes in really well!" Some people definitely gave me some weird looks and then I realized what I had said!

I think I get stares just talking about something as simple as buying parts. I keep forgetting I can't say these things in public.

"I need to buy a new pair of eyes." or "She needs a new hand."

Had another one last night: "A day's work is like, a whole Volks outfit for one of the girls!" *pause* "Yeah. I may watch the US dollar to yen exchange rate, but I actually convert USD to Dollfie Dream."

What happens when doll people try to keep tabs on the economy!

True, I've seen before where DD folk have compared whatever they've needed to what they could've bought DD-wise....

Out of context that sounds hilariously weird!

I only just found this thread and I'm totally cracking up laughing! Being relatively new to the Dollfie world, I can easily imagine how some of these things would cause people to stop and stare when they heard you say it! O.o Worse yet, I realize that I have said some of those same kinds of things since I got my first girl and I never realized until now exactly how they might sound to others!!! My latest: "I do have my fingers around her neck and I am pulling but her head just won't come off!!" to which my daughter responded "You're doing it wrong!! You have to pull and twist her head at the same time!!"

lmao

"I'm getting my first floating head!"

. . . well I am.

EDIT: Oh, nearly forgot this exchange from earlier tonight.

Me: I'm oggling eyeballs!

Mom: (referencing something from earlier in the chat) Oh that's pretty obnoxious. (back to eyeballs) That's not something you hear everyday.

Me: Oggling eyes? Yeah, I guess that is pretty rude.

Sounds like an episode of "Criminal Minds"!!! "...and the serial killer collects the eyes of his victims and then shoves the bodies in a bag in his basement...."

I'm oggling eyeballs!

"...and as our episode continues we find that the killer has an accomplice with an unnatural attraction to eyes, oggling those that have been removed from the bodies in the bags..."

It might be a good thing that you both were not in the same public place having a conversation like this!! I can only imagine the people who would make a wide path around you as they whispered something like "Stay far, far away from those people!"

While rummaging around my doll stuff a couple days ago:

Me: "Goddammit! Where are my panties!"

Hubby: Aren't you wearing them?

Me: Not MY panties. The Volks ones I just ordered. T__T"

Amigo: Can you help me find his penis?

Me: Is it that small?

Then we both laughed like little 14 year olds.

I'd like to thank you for making me spew my beer all over my keyboard for that one! Very good!!

Today my friend came over with her DDs and resins. One of her boys has a um...detachable junk and it fell somewhere.

Amigo: Can you help me find his penis?

.

...you owe me a new keyboard .. this one is now far too soaked in tea to be usable

Also, detachable junk?? OMG, its just like that song!! ... and is it like attaching with magnets? Can we see?!?! For science!

There goes my calm and quiet day. My parents in the next room now want to know what I just snorted at.

Lol, I have a resin boy with detachable junk too. He's on a Spiritdoll body, which I got 'cause the body sculpt is super nice. I keep the, uh, extra piece put away with other doll stuff. So when I'm looking for eyes or something I'll pick it up, like "what's this? ....Oh." One time I had to remove his normal bits for the sake of some really tight pants, and it took me a while to find the piece again later Poor boy.

this makes me think of someone overhearing the phrase "Now where did I leave his 'junk'? I know it has to be here somewhere!" and it brings new meaning to the words "junk drawer"!!! (bad pun, I know, but I couldn't resist1)

Lol, man, if I ever get a doll with the removable "option parts" I'm going to be SO paranoid about loosing it/them. Poor dude's junk is probably going to constantly live in the junk drawer just to keep it safe.

Okay, got another contribution, which I scared my coworkers with earlier today.

"I just got a new head, but she doesn't have a body yet, so I stuck her in a mason jar for safekeeping."

Though this may not be "dollfie owners" so much as just me.

OMFG!! I so could've used this a few years ago, when I was an instructor at a local aviation repair facility:

"Well, this is the Last person who asked me that question. Would you like to try again?"

LOL I love it! Should've known you'd appreciate my warped sense of humor. I was actually inspired by the heads-in-jars in Girl Genius--been telling myself pretty much ever since I got Agatha that this is how I'd deal with a floating head.

"No, you can't use that pan for your macaroni, I'm using it to boil some hair"

(perming a heat-resistant wig when my boyfriend wanted to cook)

"I can just pop her head open and show you"

"Why yes, the hair just yanks right off!"

"Oh no, her leg always turns backwards like that. Don't worry about it."
