DDS vs 50cm Obitsu?(comparisons please)[Nudity is possible]

I wanted to see some photos of a DDS and Obitsu 50 so I can compare them?

ok my girl is a DDS with large bust that I am planning to get. Nude for bust comparison if you can but heights and shapes I am happy for tight clothing or undies ^^ this will help me a lot thank you =)

If you include small bust, that'd make me happy too!

We did a little comparison.

Unfortunately, we only have two obitsu 50, with the same bust size (Standard/medium), although Azone says they're different, one DDS M bust and one DDIII L bust.

 

Left side, DD, right side, Obitsu.

 

And we decided to take a photo of the heads for the Kanojo (Obitsu 50) and Mina (Millhiore DDS) swapped.

Cool thank you Coffee. Is there any large busted DDS's out there what can be shown with an obitsu? (only for reference on how big the lads will looks like XD )

Okay...phone pics and not the best (very cloudy rainy day - sorry ). But hope this helps.

 

First is Konata (50cm Obitsu with large bust (DD Akira head) and Mariko Sensei (DDS with large shapely bust) - both in flat feet:

 

 

Next - Shion joined to show the comparison with a Yamato VMF50 type A body (Parabox Megu head/Sonico body) - please note that Shion has on heels and is there only to compare bust sizes. Her height is same as Kona-chan:

 

 

Then Kossy and Madoka stepped in to show height differences with 60cm sized dolls. Kossy (in blue) is DD2 with large shapely bust and Madoka (pink) is Obitsu 60 with Gretel head. Note - they are in heels.

 

 

Finally is a skintone comparison for anyone interested. DD white, Obitsu white, DD normal (no flash):

 

 

I wonder where semi-white will fall in the spectrum. I bet between DD white and Obitsu white.

they are brilliant thank you =) How do you find the Obitsu l bust compared to the DDS one? in person does it make her seem older? I ask since Error is only a year younger then Izzy but Izzy is physically about 3 years older more like a adult but not as tall as a DD.

Hmmm...well, since the 50cm Obitsu body is shorter to begin with and even the large bust is smaller than the DDS large bust - I would say that the Obitsu combination looks a little younger. I have had my doll Aika on regular bust 50cm Obitsu, lg bust Obitsu, lg bust DDS and now she is on a med bust DD2. She looks "oldest" as she is now. I think height has more to do with it than bust size (IMHO).

 

But then I have younger characters with big busts. Mirai is Miu's little sister and she is on a YamatoVMF Sonico body.

shame the mensuration looks so different =X I will keep looking for DDS

I like having the various options in height and body sizes in my collection due to the various characters I have for my girls. The only size I am missing is MDD. But I am not sure I want one that small. I do have Ellowynes if I have that need.

Not without modding, no. The DD hands are larger in all aspects, that include the opening to attach the hand to the internal structure. Plus the DD hands and Obitsu hands have different internal structures so the hands are different inside too.

I wrapped some masking tape around the obitsu hand frame and was able to put DD hands on. They won't stay on really securely without better modding, though.

Lucy Harper yes a DD head will fit a obitsu 50cm just fine all you need is an adopter. There's a person called waha on this thread that can help you with this etc.

I'm trying to figure out how far obitsu whitey really is from DD regular. My DD-04 needs a smaller body and I really like the obitsu 50, but it's hard to work out from pics if it's enough difference in colour to really bother me.

Obitsu white skin and Volks DD normal are very close. I have had several Obitsu girls that have used DD busts and torso. I can't say the two colors are identical because batches of vinyl do vary a bit and usually aren't all dead on the same color. The polymers and colorants supplied to Obitsu and/or Volks can have minor differences even if the formula is the same. I have purchased doll bodies that have had slight differences between individual parts, probably due to the parts being molded from different batches if vinyl. This happens frequently when using individually purchased parts. When you buy a new DD release, you can be fairly certain that all the parts were molded from the same batch of vinyl and will match. However when you replace that doll's bust in a few months, the replacement you buy may not be a dead on color match due to coming from a different batch of vinyl.

A little bit of body blushing can go a long way to mask these slight differences.

Her head is already a tiny bit paler due to the MSC, so that should work out well.
