Male DDs. What heads would you use?

Having the idea after seeing the lovely custom male that juu-yuki has made. I am slowly thinking about putting the first out of two OC guys of mine. but the question is What head to use!

 

for me, out of the option heads guy I would use the 02 head or an 04 head

 

out of All the limited heads i would use Saber (Fate/EXTRA Version) or maybe Rin Tosaka and maybe even Rei Ayanami for the white skin limited.

 

but what would you do?

Like you said Lily is a good head, Mari makes a good boy as well. I'm thinking the new DDH-07 might be a good candidate too. I had thought sq labs kirei would make a good male head but only if it will be that of an MDD. Their Yukari head might be a candidate too. I'm sure there are other heads that will make good male DDs but so far none of them work for the guys I want. Except for juu-yuki's Kirito which just got added to my list of male DDs I want

This is a fun question... I guess it depends on what look you're going for! I like girly boys, so with the right face up, probably a lot of heads out there would work for me. Looking over at my Lucy (was going to sell her, but I just. can't.), I can even see how she'd make a cute boy, ha ha. Oh no, can't think too long on this or I'll start making plans

I wonder if one modded Alna slightly if she would make do as Yu Narukami? Just a thought that suddenly came to mind when I was looking at Rise's head sculpt and her more realistic look.

I'd actually say Excellen would be a good option. So would Asuka.

I remember in the last male dd topic, Mari made a really really good boy. I don't think 04 is even one I would consider personally. I think it's too feminine cutesy. The sharper faces would work for it well.

True about the 04 but I think with the right face-up he would look cute like the cute loner boy thats shy #^^#

I've been thinking of modding Alna into a more mature lad since I'm not into the cute shota look. But that would take some modding of eyes and lips.

Tamayuki is an 03 head. Dolly is made to be a boy and their heads really aren't that much different. The faceup can make a world of difference. Minimal lashes, no lower lashes, blushed not painted lips, and no gloss on the lips. Even thicker eyebrows might help on certain characters, but even Naiomi's eyebrows are thicker than Tamayuki's are (by more than double.) Personally I think there are a lot of the heads that would work for boys, as long as you don't expect to get manly men. I am very partial to the shota so I have no problem with it.

 

Either way, we need more DD boys!

Saber, all of them, especially the Alter Versions. She looks already awesome with short hair, and I bet with a fitting face-up it would look awesome.

 

Since most Anime faces are rather generic you can use them for both, male and female. Face-Ups are usually more important and overall styling :3

I am planning to make my HDD-07 into a boy, to go along with my HDD-03 WS girl.

I think the types of eyes used would be one of the most important factors of all! It'd be so much fun.

Finding male anime eyes is a stinker. It frustrates me a lot because I've tried to find them but no luck so far.

Hrm, are male eyes really different? I think eyes are eyes!

I don't think anyone can get a really masculine anime character out of the current female DD heads.

 

For small eyes[irises] like chien's picture, maybe DYI eyes would work.

I'm not one for the Male dd bandwagon, but I have to admit those two in the blazers are so well done, they look like they've jumped right out of a shojo manga!
