I have two OCs I am in the middle of creating right now, both will be DD dolls hopefully but I have no idea about their names >_<

One is supposed to be sort of 'tsundere' in a way with medium length wavy reddish brown hair tied back with a black ribbon and has green eyes. She is shorter (going to be a MDD) and enjoys sweet things. This character also wears a lot of modern uniform looking clothes and doesn't like to admit her love for cute things. Her favorite animal is the ferret.

My other character is slightly taller and has a pixie cut hairstyle. She wears a bow in her hair and her hair color is a strawberry blonde.

She has blue eyes and refuses to wear skirts- she doesn't like girly clothes.

I'm still debating their backstory but both of these girls are best friends. They are also somewhere between high school and college age...

I'm rambling now so bye- >///< if you could help me find names for them that would be awesome- thank youu

What kind of names do you like? Short cutesy ones, long frivolous fancy ones, modern ones, anime names, names based on your favorite letter of the alphabet, names with a specific number of syllables, or completely goofy unrealistic sounding names? Finding the right names for your girls can be really fun. Sometimes the mouthy girls won't let you chose and decide for you. Like my Rainie.

I'd love to be of help if I can but the options need to be narrowed down a bit. I write a lot so I have a book of names intended to be used for roll-playing games. It's 200 pages long and organized by country with a short chapter on how to name fantasy characters and creatures. I can give suggestions if you have a more specific direction you want to go in. Personally I think many of the British name combinations are funny and can sometimes sound like cartoon characters.

If you want more modern names, there are tons of baby name sites that will give you way more than you need.

It's hard for me to suggest names without knowing where and when the girls are going to be from, but may I suggest checking the Name Voyager? It's meant for baby names, but it's totally fascinating in and of itself. It uses US census records to display the most popular names plotted out over time, so it's extra useful for finding names that fit a specific era. I also recommend checking out the site's blog, which often uses the Voyager as a discussion point, and the name wiki as well. Careful though, the site can turn into quite the time sink!

Ah thank you everyone- sorry I didn't check this post sooner.

Panna is a cute name O3O

Um- as far as types of names, I really like old sounding names, names you don't often anymore. Lol I have checked baby name sites for other characters before- I'm trying to stop doing that since every time I find a cool name I create a whole other character for that name.

These girls kind of live in a fantasy world- steampunk & like the anime Gosick- very stylized Victorian. As far as the ethnicity of the name, I'm leaning towards something European so I don't know ^^"

Lately I've been in a creative slump with these girls...

well, since u like Gothic, why not just name one girl Victorique?

or how about Mirabelle! Thats all sorts of French and fancy ^_^

Not sure whats -in- steampunk, so I'm just gonna default to victorian era names: Henrietta, Amelia, Winnifred, Katherine or Josephine!
