Thank you. Good kimonos are kind of hard to find (if you're picky like me) but they're out there. You should keep your eye open for a few.

It's so rare for you to do a post like this.... but when you do, it's great! I love these pics!

 

You have a knack for finding some of the nicest outfits for your girls. Sriously, these kimonos are just beautiful. And you've done a wonderful job of picking out nice patterns for each girl.

 

I think Asuka's is really great even if it isn't a red base color. All those flowers and red accents are far nicer in my opinion. She looks very pretty in it.

 

Hannah looks good in just about anything but she's extremely elegant in hers. The dark base with pastel flowers and patterns is an excellent look for her.

 

And I giggled at the star wands when I first saw them on Eir. but when you showed WHY she had them in her hair, it made perfect sense. She seems to be good at working with things she has on hand. Very cool hairdo! Her kimono looks beautiful on her as well, the purple was a good choice for her.

I like Asuka's kimono too. While good red kimono's do exist they tend to be more muted reds as a really bright red base would have to be done very carefully to still look good. I think she likes it too since she didn't insist I keep looking.

 

Hannah's is my favorite of this group. I think it just suits her very well. And I decided to leave it in long form rather than shorten it like I did Asuka's and Eirs because it just seemed to suit her.

Yeah, there wasn't much here to use as hairpins, so she did what she had to do I guess. Actually I had a hard time getting her hair to stay up. I have no idea what I'm doing with this putting up hair stuff so it was a lot of trial and error. It's a bit messy but I think the overall effect is ok. Thanks on her kimono as well.

Eir's hair only grants you wishes if you make a contract with her. You might want to think carefully before you enter into it though. Thanks on the kimonos, and I really had nothing else around to use as hairpins. Well, other than actual pens, but that seemed like an even worse choice. I'm glad you like her hairdo though, I had no idea what I was doing it so it took a lot of trial and error to get something that both stayed up and looked reasonable.

Lovely kimonos! I agree, the blue works really nicely--tell her it's a nice contrast, matches her eyes, and makes her red hair pop and I bet Asuka would calm right down.

 

Eir being in purple just makes sense somehow, heh. I also love the idea of using the wands as hair pins! Might have to do that with one of my girls for Christmas.

Thank you. No I've only got five kimonos, so I'm well short still. Thanks on the hairdo too. It was all trial and error for me (who has never had long hair) so I'm sure you could figure something out too. It's just a question of how willing you are to keep trying.

 

As for the contract thing, I'm not sure. But having seen parts of her journal I know I'd be pretty hesitant.

Hmm, good advice. That's probably a much better approach then getting her to want to keep it by hyping her up over something concerning Rin. I'll have to give it a try.

I think it is quite common for parents to take things back from children who aren't grateful. In theory this is supposed to ensure that when kids get older, they appreciate things. I suppose that Asuka's parents didn't do that or her will surpasses any attempts to modify her behavior.

Thanks on the colors. For Asuka, from what I know of her past I don't think her parents really paid much attention to her. Although amusingly her Mom seemed quite obsessed with a doll version of her.

It's not surprising that some of Asuka's attitude would rub off on the other girls. She's pretty arrogant sometimes. Despite the lack of red I think she really liked that kimono.

Yeah, Asuka can be a bit much at time. I was hoping the other girls wouldn't follow her or Rin's leads but I should have known better. And I also think that she did like the kimono despite her complaints.
