Tsukihenshin Posted December 12, 2012 I don't want to stain her so I was wondering if there was a different option.
baldylox Posted December 12, 2012 I don't like using body stockings on my girls so in order to not get stains on them or at least limit it, I use a spare body part like a foot or hand and wrap them tightly in an item of clothing I am scared of staining. If it stains the body part then I will wash the clothing several times before testing it again. Most of the time I've had good luck with items washing clean after 2-3 washes. But for items that still stained after 3 washes, I will NOT use them on my girls. This limits me I know but I'd rather have less clothing and stain free girls. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

archangeli Posted December 12, 2012 Saran wrap the body parts or put tape on the inside of the clothes. To me, this is just too much hassle. I'd rather use bodystockings. Also, depending on where you live, some brands of cling film have micro pores in it which will still let stains through >__<" (UK brands do this... ) Archangeli.net | Twitter: @MsArchangeli | YouTube: Archangeli
mangaemi Posted December 20, 2012 If it's very dark clothing I'd recommend washing soaking the outfits you want to put on for long periods of time. There's methods online (look up things related to quilters) about washing/soaking if its cotton or nylon (like stockings). Reds seem to bleed *alot* - theres a pair of red lace tights someone gave me as a present and after 4 days of lightly washing and soaking it's still bleeding pink... o__O I've also read someone putting just natural cotton scraps in with the items you soak and it helps soak up the excess dye... considering how my husband has ruined a few of my socks and undies I'm inclined to believe this method would work really well with drawing out excess dye o__o lol me personally I'd prefer to do the washing method vs having a stocking just b/c it's so bulky for tightfiting/flattering outfits. If your girl will be covered from head to toe in a full dress with long sleeves then a stocking would probably suffice : ) ♥ ★ ✮ ~ Amassing an army of Anime Cuties ~ ✮ ★ ♥ The Family: Sheryl, Ranka, Kirika, Arlex2, Yoko, Snow Miku, Haruka, Student Mariko, Prisma Illya, Akira, Maria, Cirno, Noumi, Asuna Titania, Sakuya on the way: want: Sailor Moon, Miki, Yukiho
crimsoncat Posted January 31, 2013 I've also read someone putting just natural cotton scraps in with the items you soak and it helps soak up the excess dye... Along that line, does anybody know if the "Shout: Color Catcher"s help at all? I put them in with my girl's clothing from volks, but I didn't get color change on them whatsoever. Juanita Posted January 31, 2013 Be careful with saran wrap or cling wrap. Just like silikone the clothes can stain right through it. I've once used two layers of cling wrap to protect my doll's feet from her dark boots ... and after one day of wearing they had badly stained
