juu-yuki Posted December 13, 2012 I AM BACK!!~ Very tired from lack of sleep and lack of food for 2 weeks but I am alive. I will be working on commissions starting tomorrow, so for all those who are waiting, I will be sending you progress shots in the next few days or so. We have Mirai here with us today to show off her new faceup. This commission was done back in November but I had to keep her a secret because she was a surprise Christmas gift for someone. I hope she likes her . Faceup: Repaint by me, included: - Head cleaning and faceup removal - Custom design and painting - 5 coats of sealant - Pink blush - Glossed lips Enjoy. Feel free to leave critics if there is something you like/ dislike. =] More photos here: http://shiroyuki.juu-yuki.com/blog/ Commission info here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3961 I noticed some of you who couldn't PM me here. Poofiemus Posted December 13, 2012 Wow, she looks awesome! If her recipient doesn't like her, then there's something seriously wrong with them. XD I find it particularly neat to see you work on older molds like this. A lot of the early factory DD faceups really lacked subtlety, so it's amazing to see how nice those older heads really are with a lighter touch. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser. Ok, since I was the recipient, I have to say I did have a O_o reaction when I first opened her. BUT that was ENTIRELY because of these purple volks eyes that had been put in her by PlasticFantastic. She looks amazing with these twin-snow eyes I have. Admittedly I had to shave one of them to get them to fit, but it was a good result in the end. I apologize for any concern on the me possibly not liking the faceup and for this being a quick cell phone snap. But I think Mireille definitely turned out extremely well. Even though it's very different from what I told PF I would want.

Some of the faceups on older DDs are so different from the more recent faceups. "Lacking subtlety" is a great way to put it. I love the Mirai/Candy mold. Mireille is so cute! haha I am really curious about the purple Volks eyes now.

PlasticFantastic Posted December 15, 2012 I didn't have anything I liked, so I just put the eyes she came with back in... ^^; I'm glad you found a style for her that worked. And yes she did end up very different from what you and I talked about. That's how I made her a surprise! ^_^ Please visit my YouTube channel for helpful DD tips, tutorials, and reviews! otakusan Posted December 17, 2012 she looks gorgeous I can't even believe my own eyes... you should put up the pose next time without telling who the head mold is and see if anyone can guess first

They just definitely were the ones that suffered the most because of their painting.
