Galvatim Posted December 17, 2011 Danbo is really cool! I want one, but for now I have to make due with the A.W.E.S.O.M.-O Cartman...

AerisAquata Posted December 20, 2011 I figure I'd better post some of my dollies and assorted goodies. This is an old shot of my Monster High collection. I've since added four more dolls to that shelf, as well as all the Christmas cards I've been sent. These two lovely ladies are my Queen Amidala dolls, Sabe and Padme. Sabe is an 'Ultimate Hair' Amidala, wearing the queen's battle outfit, and Padme is a 'Royal Elegance' Amidala in the red gown. This is a shot of my Spectra Vondergeist doll. She's a ghost and has clear plastic on her arms and legs. It looks really cool. This is my Lagoona Blue doll, another Monster High girl. She's the daughter of a Sea Monster. I love her webbed hands and the fins on her legs! Her hair was boil-permed to make it curly. And finally, a PONY! I love the little Gen 4 ponies. This one is Fluttershy, who's been slightly customized. I cut her hair and made it wavy.
baldylox Posted December 20, 2011 Heh, AerisAquata, by showing your 2 Amidala dolls, you reminded me that I also have those 2! I used to collect the newer SW stuff and I had all the Amidala dolls excpet the Ceremonial Gown version they offered at FAO Scwartz. THAT one was beautiful but super expensive. I never got around to getting her. I also think I have several Princess Leia 12 inch dolls tucked away somewhere... I know I used to have the Hoth version and the white dress version she wore in the Original Star Wars movie. One of these days when I have a week, I can dig thru the closet and find those things.... Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
littlebearries Posted December 20, 2011 Eeee! Monster High! I have those! I repaint those! I love them! Their little outfits are so detailed, and each one having a different sculpt is just awesome! ... I will have to share some of mine. I have a few in the wings to repaint right now. PlasticFantastic Posted December 20, 2011 I have a giant weakness for My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic But because I had tons and tons of 1st gen ponies growing up I just can't enjoy the newer stylization of the toys. Please visit my YouTube channel for helpful DD tips, tutorials, and reviews!
littlebearries Posted December 20, 2011 I have a weakness for them too!! I repaint them XD I have to say, I love all of them except those 2nd generation ones though.
AlmySidaKay Posted December 20, 2011 I love the show because it's so well written, I just can't bring myself to buy the new G4 ponies... A hobby isn't supposed to leave you wistful, regretful and vaguely disappointed. Do whatever pleases you in this hobby, because otherwise, why do it at all? milkytea Posted December 20, 2011 I feel a bit differently--I really love the new pony toys. They're so strikingly different from the earlier generations. I felt like some of the previous redesigns didn't really update the toys enough to make them seem new. I also appreciate the small size, and I know that as a little girl I would have adored how tiny they are. I just wish they had more hair to play with! I collect My Little Pony, but not all of the generations. I collect G3 (2003 - 2008) and Friendship is Magic. I like the G1 ponies and own several, but I don't actively collect them. I get a lot of personal enjoyment out of "the thrill of the hunt" in terms of finding new ponies in stores, more so than tracking them down online or going to garage sales. I also feel overwhelmed by cleaning and restoration for more than two or three ponies at a time. My childhood ponies were G1s, though, so they are special...but I really love the Friendship is Magic toys. ♥ They're slowly filling up the tiny studio apartment that I share with my husband; I've started stacking them in the kitchen. My G3 collection is in storage until we live in a larger place. Honestly, the Friendship is Magic toys ought to go in storage, too; I'm just being wimpy about going through with it. I like having them around the house, even if it's inconvenient. Other than the ponies, I have a few dolls, but I really only collect the ponies. I own two Pullips, a Romantic Alice (Clover) and a Romantic Alice Pink ver. (Thistle). I also have two ball-jointed dolls, a Volks Super Dollfie Nono (Mimi) and a Volks Mini Super Dollfie Nagisa in Preschool (Claire). (I hope they'll all "get along," so to speak, with the Dollfie Dream I'm working towards bringing home.)
AerisAquata Posted December 20, 2011 Pullips! I really love Pullip Mir and Taeyang Sebastian. I want to get them both! I'm glad to see a lot of us like ponies~ I really want to get more of them! At least the Mane Six, and possibly Luna. And Littlebearries, I would love to see your customs! I actually now have Toralei and Abbey, and I'm super happy~
Galvatim Posted January 10, 2012 My Asuka shelf: 010 by galvatim, on Flickr Seems as though a few Reis and Maris snuck in there as well. 004 by galvatim, on Flickr Large scale Nanoha shelf. I have another Nanoha shelf for the Figma collection. 005 by galvatim, on Flickr Tenshi only snuck onto this shelf cause she's new. 008 by galvatim, on Flickr "Starlight Breaker!" Nanoha is my favorite figure, at least until I open up Rin UBW version, after I redo my room.
kymaera Posted January 11, 2012 I have a few figures here: http://myfigurecollection.net/profile/kymaera Also have a few off-topic Dolls like a B&G Milaya Windhunter and a Feeple65 Chloe.
Maridah Posted January 11, 2012 Since Max already shared some photos of our figure collection earlier in this thread, I'll just share some of my off topic resins. The men are from Iplehouse. The one in the suit is Adel, an EID Arvid in light brown skin with the 'super hero' body and 'strongman' arms (the naming cracks me up). He's a giant compared to my DDs LOL The other guy is Leo, a SID Limited Edition Shane in natural skin. He's a more manageable size and doesn't dwarf the DDs XD The female is Dae, a Supia Haeun in natural skin. She comes with swappable ears so she can be an elf ^_^ It's a cute feature. ♔ http://www.BJDAtelier.com/ Clothes for DD & BJDs
milkytea Posted January 16, 2012 Now that I can add pictures, I wanted to share a few of my Pullips. At one point I was planning on collecting Pullips, as I collected them several years ago and then moved out of the hobby, but I'm just so satisfied with my current two girls that I'm not motivated to buy any new ones~ ♥ Romantic Alice Dreams by sweetmilktea ♥, on Flickr My first "new" Pullip was Romantic Alice; her name is Clover. I love her outfit and don't want to change anything about her. She has such a "shabby antique" style to her. I learned that there was a second release of her, a doll with the same face and makeup, but different eyes, wig, and slightly different outfit: Romantic Alice Pink ver. I had to have her, too, and I started dreaming up little personalities for them. When she finally arrived at my home, it felt very complete. Sisters, Always by sweetmilktea ♥, on Flickr The one in blue is Clover, and her sister in pink is Thistle. I imagine that they live in a quasi-Victorian era that isn't historically accurate in any way, because it's suited to my whims. Clover is the elder of the two, with a vague Victorian-esque chronic illness that makes her very delicate. She enjoys the macabre and dreams of being an adventurer, like their father. Thistle is the younger sister, but she's very mothering and overprotective of Clover. She can be rude and unkind towards others, but never to Clover. Someday I'd like to compose a photo story or two with them, but I'm not sure I'll ever get around to it! In the mean time they live on my desk, so I get to see their cute little faces whenever I'm using the computer~ ♥
kymaera Posted January 16, 2012 So far, I have two resins, both of which are elves. Phyla (B&G Milaya Windhunter Fullset) Phyla hasn't gotten a lot of screen time in my stories, but that should change a bit after the current storyline ends. She's a very spiritual, very calm and together person. Here for more pictures Shirayuki or Yuki for short (Fairyland Feeple65 Chloe Moonlight full set) Yuki hasn't gotten introduced into the storyline yet as she's gated by other characters who have to appear first and I'm way behind. But it should happen Soon. Yuki is well, a space case. She tends to ramble on and get distracted easily. Here for more pictures

chef_mai Posted February 24, 2023 I have a modest Nendoroid collection of... one. She's Aoi from Yama no Susume, a hiking anime, and true to the series, I've been taking her along hikes. I'd never want to take Mai outside, but figures like this are pretty weatherproof, small and still fun to pose.

I want to make a Mai nendo but haven't yet found a head that speaks to me, and finding the glasses is even trickier.
finnleo Posted March 8, 2023 hmm.. a bit of a source of pondering this is ... though I suppose its a collection of DIY Figma's still in boxes, so it might be better suited here than the actual figure photography topic: things031.jpg Out of these I've only built one Stylet, one Gourai, and Materia. the Laetitias are sort of special since they are more or less the last stuff I've ordered from Amiami when I had to cut hobby costs. models010 models023 models083 One of these days I might build the idea's I have floating around in my head around these... a "Nishizumi edition" of a Gourai either in grey or dark brown with a suitable scaled Panzer-IV barrel that I already have somewhere. a Stylet in finnish airforce F/A-18 Hornet paint and markings. and maybe a lurid orange Architect with custom accessories in terms of what I build for a daytime job these days. Still would like to get some of the Komatsu Eeji styled "Light armor" Hraesvelgers, but those seem to have gone a bit nuts in value. Also some of the Miku collabs might be amusing.

Kotobukiya has color variations of the frame arms girl kits for people that dont like to deal with paints, but it was amusing they released a red Stylet kit a few months after I had painted mine red. 19 hours ago, RiverRealms said: There's something oddly satisfying about the way you're storing those boxes The box graphics does lend itself for this kind of display, with the character name and picture so you can do a team ensemble display.
