Nakitaninja Posted May 29, 2011 Obviously this is a place for Dollfie Dreams but I figured a few of us found DDs through other means- i.e. figures or resin dolls. I've read a couple people mention that they love their resin daughters or their extensive figure collections so I thought I thread where we could show our sister dolls and figures would be a nice addition to the OT section! I started with resin dolls then went only to DDs but now I find myself waiting for the arrival for another SD resin daughter- I am super excited about her! I started with standard SD13 Rinon, who has since left my care for a better home in Asia: http://www.volksusa.com/sd130017.html I loved her but she was oddly mature? I've since decided to go the SD route and am waiting on an FCS doll coming in August. She's an F-32 and looks a little "cuter". If you don't know about FCS (Volks Full Custom Service) it's a fun read and there's more after the jump: general FCS info: http://www.angelden.net/fcs/ F-32 mold sample image: http://www.angelden.net/fcs/heads/sd-f32.html I know we all love Dollfie Dreams but it's really cool to see what other dolls people are interested in. I never get tired of looking! ^^ Please post with all your favorite son/daughter(s), figures etc!
Galvatim Posted May 30, 2011 ...I have way too many figures. I'll just talk about some of my 1/6 scale action figures/dolls here. I've got a few of Takara's Cool Girls (BBI Cy Girls): 001 by galvatim, on Flickr It's a shame that the line has died off, as these were really cool figures! I've also collected Medicom's figures, like Snake: new pics 6-02-10 004 by galvatim, on Flickr And their Star Wars releases: new pics 5-31-10 058 by galvatim, on Flickr Then there's Azone: 044 by galvatim, on Flickr I have Azone Kuroko on the way from Hobby Search right now, too. I want to get Nanoha Movie 1st version at some point. I have some of Sideshow's figures too(SW, X Files, Buffy), but no pics at this time. They're nice, but Medicom is so much nicer. Pupi Posted May 30, 2011 I use to collect figures! I don't have many wished figures and I have a particular taste so I have decided to get only the figures I really love! This is my profile on My Figure Collection, where you can see my complete figure collection and some pictures^^ (the images of my room are disactualized u.u) http://myfigurecollection.net/profile/Ilvias You can see I love Nendoroids and some PVCs: I am proud of my Exelica twins (ALTER's PVC and nendoroid, a precious birthday gift from my beloved <3) whitch are my favourite figures! @Galvatim: the Azone Shiki** I want that doll so much, she is one of my favourite character ever >< enthusiast pasta girl - she/her - power bi Mini Mode Lab
baldylox Posted May 30, 2011 I mainly used to collect vintage Star Wars toys and figures. But I began branching out when I ran out of SW stuff to collect. So I went into other vintage lines I had toys from as a kid like Micronauts, Battelstar Galactica, Black Hole, MASK, etc. I have some photos from about ayear ago when I did a "Room Tour" over at Figurefm. Hit the link below to see all the random figures and toys I have collected. http://www.figure.fm/post/en/12801/My+computer+collection+room.html I also have 2 of the Azone 1/6 scale girls. I have not taken pics of the newest girl tho. I need to do that soon. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
OtakuDepot Posted May 30, 2011 I also was collecting figures (pvc and figma mostly) before I got into DDs but my collection hasn't grown much recently. I started taking photos of them a while ago but never got around to finishing them for my Flcker page: http://www.flickr.com/photos/otakudepot/collections/72157624775129336/ I think my favorite I have is Yurie from the wonderful anime Kamichu!: I like how it's a small scene from the movie, like a little diorama. Especially some of the small details around the base: One of my early favorite anime series was Comic Party and I have both Minami and Reiko from that show: I only have 2 figures from my favorite anime called Genshike, here is my cute tsundere Ogiue and the kakkoii (cool) Sakaki-san: I have close to 50 unopened figures stacked in my room now, not part of my collection though. I have had plans to start a side business selling anime figures with hopes of making it a full time job in the future. It's also the meaning behind my OtakuDepot userid. Due to some family issues mixed in with some laziness I haven't spent much time recently working on it. I hope to get that kick started again soon, even have have scheduled a week off work in mid June with that in mind. I really need to get some good photos of my Figma collection. I have both summer and winter school outfit sets of the Lucky Star girls as well as the complete K-On! girls. Figma's are a lot of fun in a small package. I hope we get to see more of peoples collections soon. Galvatim Posted May 31, 2011 I have a My Figure Collection page too, http://myfigurecollection.net/collection/Galvatim That's something like a third of my collection... I have most of the Star Wars figures from the '70s through 2005, and more Transformers than I know what to do with... !@Galvatim: the Azone Shiki** I want that doll so much, she is one of my favourite character ever >< Azone Shiki is awesome! I have to confess that I haven't seen Kara no Kyoukai yet, but I tend to love Type-Moon works in general. She still turns up on Hobby search every once in a while, I think. Alphakitty Posted May 31, 2011 Weird timing, SirNarwhal and I JUST finished taking some in-progress shots of our collection! We are still working on getting everything displayed, and I think we're about halfway done with organizing everything. It's a bit of a mess right now, bags and boxes everywhere from moving! Note that these shots do not contain pics of my room, which houses the Dollfies and over 100 other figures. ^^; We are getting 2 more detolfs and another metal shelf, plus we have some smaller shelves for minifigures, hopefully we can actually get some of these poor figures out of their boxes soon! 1 DD Family: Mari, Saber Lily, Marisa, Soniko, Noumi, Kirino, Kuroneko, Sakura (DD Sakuno), Aerie, Akira, Kiki, Koko, Rose (DDS Mariko), Kureha, Ryoko, Lucy, Haruka, Rise, Extra & Alter! Averis Posted June 2, 2011 I only started to seriously collect anime/manga figures just this year. So far I only have the three figma from BRS. I have a couple on pre-order, like Danny's Mirai. I have a couple other random toys about my room, but nothing I would call a collection. I do have two resin girls, though. I got my first one last year. Last year this month, in fact. My second one arrived just this last weekend. They are both Dream of Doll girls. My first one is a DoT E-an I named Jaimee. My second girl is a DoT Calla I named Alexis. I think I'm gonna stop collecting resin girls for now and concentrate more on figures and DDs for a while. I still love my resin girls, though.

You know I don't look at many resin dolls that aren't Volks (my own failing, I know) but I would feel lucky to have the chance to buy either of those dolls. They are gorgeous!!! @Lil'B- I love the Soom YoSD! Sooooo cute. I don't always go for the anthro dolls but man.... so darling. I love your entire collection! I have to go back through the thread and keep checking out everyone's rad stuff. I am so digging all the pics- a huge 'thank you' to everyone who has posted! I think the girls are blushing. Hehe. I spent many many weeks looking over different brands before I picked my first one. DoD just had a look I really connected with. I love my two resin girls, but I'm a little over-protective of them and they tend to live in their boxes. Still, I can't wait to get my two DDs.
CocoBliss Posted June 5, 2011 Here is my resin doll from Dollmore that I bought in 2009. I was do excited to get her, since she is my first I finally had her face done this year by a wonderful face-up artist. I think she turned out gorgeous! jadepixel Posted June 5, 2011 I have a couple figma and nendoroid figures but I definitely got into DD through resin BJD. I was hoping to avoid SD-size dolls and vinyl, but DD just won me over and I gave into the dark side... I could still end up with a SD16 girl at some point though. Anyway, have some pics of my current resin family! Freyja (fairyland chicline ino) Tuulikki (soom ai/minette tiny) Soilikki (soom minette/ai tiny) Leocadie (dollmore kid with hdd-03) There are a few floating heads, so my dolls have multiple personality disorder ^_^; CocoBliss - my first BJD was also a dollmore kid! Kumi Posted June 5, 2011 I wish I were younger, heh... Now it's a little late to start collecting figures and such, and few years ago they were simply unavailable in my country. Even now, such hobbies are expensive as... Well... orz I can say, I have two "off-topics" in my home. First is Mamachapp-inspired little Obitsu doll named Angela. I made it myself from parts and painted. It was a Xmas gift for my daughter. Don't get in her way, she mastered kung-fu And the second is my resin girl Undine She's from Korean company Aria Doll, mold named Narvy, SD size (very similar to a DD)

MaxArcher Posted June 6, 2011 The only dolls we have are DDs, but we've got a pretty decent figure collection. We've filled two of the Detolf cases, and they've now spilled over to the top of the case, top of the entertainment center, etc. Three more are in customs, and four more coming next month, and I'm not sure where they're going, haha.
