Doll Goals for 2013

I've always tried to start the year off with some sort of goal. This can be to buy more or less, or simply save up for a single doll you really want. Really, it can be anything!

 

I've got a few this year!

 

-Get MDDIII Body

-Sell Less

-Buy Less

-Start Shinobu Oshino project...

 

Adding:

 

-Finish Gahara project

-Start Koyomi Araragi & Fire Sisters

- Finish Kirito and get him more boy clothes

- Get Asuna and take cute couple photos

- Take more photos outdoor

- Limited to 1 dolls (not including Asuna)

- Focus more on clothes and accessories

Mine would be to:

 

-take more photos and do more stories

-get one more boy

-make more of my own doll clothes

-limit my DD spending to just two (Kos and Momo not included of course. )

~ buy LotR swords in letter-opener sizes as a new weapons arsenal!

~ get MDDIII body

~ get some "grabby" DD hands, either in normal size, or those new "big" sizes

~ acquire Saber Lily dress .. hopefully with armor

~ DD staaaaaaaaand ♪

~ build the damn Joan of Ark outfit already! ... ok, first stop being lazy and finish the blueprint for hip armor, then stop being lazy & finally make it

Thanks for reminding me that I need to remind my husband to make Claire's armor. hehehe.

I suppose my goal is to get the Sakura Shinguji DD and her battle uniform set, then start investigating painting techniques for a custom head. I'll probably get a body after I'm happy with the head.

Hopefully sell the extra doll bodies that are sitting around the house. Tired of them taking up space.

 

Other than that, hopefully get my long delayed photo story project finally started.

Mine are get more clothes in general and take more pictures.

 

The upside to having the size dolls I do is diversity. The downside is not being able to share clothes.

Mine is to buy Saber Alter a new body, so that Lilly can have her own body back.

 

I hate having Lilly as a floating head, but Saber Alter is mai waifu and just I can't bare to put her away. So right now its easier to leave Lilly floating.

 

Other then that, I don't really have any dorrie goals.

-MAKE AGATHA SOME OUTFITS FROM THE GG COMIC. BAH. Seriously, I've got the fabric for TWO of her outfits now, and have had her for two and a half years. Need to stop procrastinating and just do it! Especially if I can get things together to go to SDCC, since the Foglios usually attend and I'd like to show her off to them properly.

 

-Get a couple of short wigs for one or both girls. I love how their long hair looks but it's a pain to take to meets. And really, Agatha could use a new long wig as her current one is starting to turn to a frizzball at the tips.

 

-Use up some of my fabrics! Seriously, no buying new fabrics until some of the current stash is used up.

 

-Do more photo stories.

 

This next one is contingent on whether or not my current employer decides to keep me, but I'd like to have decided which of my various plots for my next doll ought to become reality so I can at least start seriously hunting for stuff. Maybe I can start making stuff real late next year.

My 2013 plans are:

 

Either Get a Rise Kujikawa DD (Obtained!!!)

-OR-

Just put money aside for a lottery girl that I want as much as Rise

 

-Make a few outfits for Mikuru such as a maid outfit, some sort of Baroque esque dress (I'm not very knowledgable on fashion of different centuries, so I guess that's another plan of mine!)

 

-Practice and take nice pictures...and take advantage of campus!

 

-Make Mikuru's Ayu cosplay!

My goals aren't Dollfie Dream-specific, they really cover most of my dolls.

 

1. New eyes for Lily (Purchase probably not necessary--I have eyes I would like to use that just need some modification to fit in her eyewells, but I also wouldn't really mind buying new eyes for her.)

2. Commission a new faceup for Mimi

3. Dedicated photoshoots with the dolls

4. Acquire or make more clothing for Katyusha

I really only have two goals for the coming year.

 

1) Adopt Kanu Unchou

2) DO NOT adopt any more girls OTHER than Kanu Unchou

 

I really think I've hit my limit, space-wise and money-wise. Plus I need to focus on the girls I have now.

 

Of course I'll continue to buy clothing for the girls I have now, that's a given. But I want to limit myself there as well. 2013 will be a lean year for DD stuff if I have my way.

Aside from finding one more kiddo for a story I have in mind, I think I need to get out more and take some

pics to build up that story. (and a bigger wardrobe for them all!)

I don't think Billy needs any 'prompting'. The girls seem to just want to keep migrating to his house. He's just too kind to say 'No' and turn anybody away.

Hmm...

 

1) send a doll to "visit" Billy

2) Adopt Kanu Unchou (and not the overpriced one on Dollfie World atm!)

3) maybe build an MDD3 body before the end of 2014 (since I plan to only add 1 piece per Volks order)

4) moar shoooooes!!!!

 

I'd like to put a limit on how many new girls come into my house this year, but that's probably unrealistic considering there's KOS-MOS (x2) and Momo already, and whatever Akihabara girl gets (re-)released in the summer (Natsuki's little sister? Alna re-release?)...

 

And if a decently priced MDD Ilya comes along, that would be very tempting.

Sigh, unfortunately I agree with you. It is SO difficult to say no to these girls when asked to help adopt them. It's those darn puppy-dog eyes they give me!!

1. Sew more for the girls. I got a new sewing machine, I need to use it.

Altho I don't see this happening in the real world either, I'm still going to try and keep my purchases to a lower level than I've done this year. And I already feel like a warehouse for DD clothing! I may not have a ton of Volks clothing but I do have a bit of random stuff like Alices Collections etc. But I'm sure I'll be adding plenty more clothing in 2013. I just have to TRY to reign my spending in some.

2013 is so close !

 

1) adopt Tohsaka Rin, Tamaki and MDD cirno (Acquired!)since they're the only ones remaining on my wishlist to obtain XD~ Other than that, other girls I might consider are yja custom girls + future releases that I might want.

 

2) acquire girls only if I REALLY love them, due to my family of girls growing fast >.<'

 

3) make a better display cabinet for the girls.

 

4) invest more in photography and shooting outdoors !

 

5) get more clothes and shoes

 

6) make DD's famous locally and in the region ! ( I was able to convert my best friend and two other friends lol )

 

7) keeping up a tradition of traveling with DDs ( so far I've travelled with a DD 5 times ! )

 

this is all I can think of atm XD
