kymaera Posted December 24, 2012 It's been...way too long, but finally putting another installment up. Hopefully, it won't be near as long till part 4. Here is the link to Part 2. Zoe: Thought I heard you come in. You ok? Saber: I'm exhausted. This has been such a long day. All the legal paperwork to negotiate and sign. I hate my name now and my hand is cramping. Zoe: So, her bitchiness will be released tomorrow? Saber: Yes, Morgaine will be. Zoe: Surprised that you were able to talk them into that. Must have been a lot of work. Oh well..at least it's done now. Saber: Unfortunately, I think that this has been the easy part. It's only dealing with lawyers and Volks. *sigh* I dread tomorrow. Zoe: Huh? Saber: It's one thing to make excuses for her when it's strangers who have been only inconvenienced by her antics... Saber: but it's quite another to have to face those you care about who have been so hurt by her and try to convince them to give her another chance. I don't know if I can do it. Zoe: You're...you're not going to leave us...are you? Saber: I don't want to. This is my home now, but I may have to. I doubt either of them, especially Aya, can ever forgive her. And I can't abandon her. Zoe: Why not? It's not like she's ever done anything for you. Saber: She has. It's hazy, but I remember her taking care of me after our mother died...until father sent her away. There's good in her, Zoe. Saber: And, there's more. If I sent her away, she won't change. In fact, she might get worse..and the people she would hurt would be my fault for rejecting her. I have to change her for the good of all, not just her own. Zoe: Look, I'm not going to lie and say she's my favorite person in the world. But if I had to choose, I'd pick putting up with her to have you around. So, if you need help kicking her monkey butt back in line, I'm here to help you. Saber: Zoe-nee. I knew I could count on you. It's selfish, but I know that I need your help. It's hard for me to see her as she is instead of how I want her to be. I need help. Zoe: Well, if it's one thing that being around the pervert for years has taught me, it's how to control the uncontrollable. You can count on me. Zoe: And I think the pervert is open to giving her a chance as well. That only leaves Aya..and honestly, I don't know. Saber: *sigh* I know. I need to talk to her. Saber: I just don't know what I can say. She hurt Aya so bad. All because she could use Aya to get to me. How can I ask her to forgive that? What could I possibly say to make that right? Zoe: You're trembling. Saber: I'm scared. Zoe: Of her hating your sister? Stuff like that happens. It shouldn't matter. Saber: *breaking up* She's going to hate me. Zoe: Huh? Saber: She's going to hate me! This is all my fault. She'd never have been hurt if Morgaine hadn't used her to get to me. Aya's going to hate me for dragging her into this! And I can't blame her! *Zoe whaps Saber upside the head* Zoe: Stop it! Zoe: You're not giving either of you enough credit. First, Aya might be a pain in the butt at times, but she'd never hold anything like that against you. Secondly, I know you and so does she. Whatever issues you two might have, she knows that you're a good kid. It's not your fault that your sister is a bitch. Zoe: Look! Tomorrow, I'll take the pervert and go get your skank of a sister. You're going to stay here and work things out with Aya. By the time we get back, I know you will have worked things out. Have faith in yourself because I do. Saber: Thank you, Zoe-nee. I'll do what I can. Zoe: Don't worry. I'll tell the pervert you're tired or something and get him out of the house so you two can talk. Now, go get some sleep. The next day... Zoe: Come on, let's get a move on. I'm sure they want to get the slut out so they can burn the sheets. Me: Huh, where's Saber? Zoe: She's a bit sick, so I'm filling in for her. Me: Oh? I'd better go check on her before we leave. Zoe: No need. It's nothing major. It's just...uh...that time of the month. Me: Dollfies have that time of the month? Zoe: Look. You want the gory details or you want to live in peaceful ignorance? Me: Peaceful ignorance is good. She going to be ok taking care of herself and Aya as well? Zoe: Don't worry. I think they'll be just fine. Let's get a move on.
scripple Posted December 24, 2012 Awwww, Zoe has a soft side, who knew? I figured she'd be more likely to solve the problem using one of those new dynamite sticks on M's welcome home cake. Hmmm, then again there's probably a reason she want's Saber out of the picture when you two go to pick up M. Check out my new DollFun website. Share your own doll photos with free image hosting. PrettyCranium Posted December 25, 2012 Yay, another chapter! I've been really looking forward to the return of your stories. I love a good Dollfie drama! Nice posing in this one, and I'm interested to see what happens next.
Poofiemus Posted December 25, 2012 Wow, Zoe can actually understand human nature. . . I guess most of the time she just chooses not to. And actually, I can see Zoe and Saber making a pretty good reformation team for M--sort of a carrot-and-the-stick situation. (Plus Zoe will probably try to get her her into video games, which I think has a good chance of being a relatively constructive outlet.) No, I think my new fear is this: M and Zoe becoming snark buddies. This must not be allowed to happen, and yet it seems inevitable. (I just really, REALLY hope it doesn't lead to Zoe taking magic lessons from M!) In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
kymaera Posted December 25, 2012 No, I think my new fear is this: M and Zoe becoming snark buddies. This must not be allowed to happen, and yet it seems inevitable. (I just really, REALLY hope it doesn't lead to Zoe taking magic lessons from M!) You'll just have to wait and see how things develop in their relationship. I will, however, say that I have absolutely no plans for the magic lesson scenario. Zoe is a bit of a slacker. She has tremendous potential, but absolutely no interest in pursuing anything related to magic. M will be focused on regaining her own power and would have no interest in a student.
