What Anime are you watching?

Watched Campione. It was okay, hubby loved it though as he kept laughing his head off. Sort of reminded me of Rosario Vampire in some ways.

Juuuust finished Hatsukoi Limited.

 

It was cute and really funny and for a school drama it was pretty good for what it was. The last episode snuck up on me, I didn't realize it was the end! I cried, but then there were like 5 bonuse minisodes afterward. Hilarious and adorable.

 

I'm about to start Mirai Nikki I think. :3

It's the fall season so I picked up a bunch of new shows

 

- Kill la Kill

- Infinite Stratos 2

- Kyoukai no Kanata

 

Currently waiting out for a few other shows to start as well~ but so far I'm loving kill la kill the most, it's probably the best show this season aaaa~

I'm a lot behind on some of the newer stuff, like, only on ep 3 of Shingeki no Kyoujin.

 

I did pick up WataMote to watch and Kill la Kill's the only thing really on my watch list this season.

I just started watching Meganebu and Kyoukai no Kanata. Meganebu is pretty ridiculous, but I hope it'll at least be a fun thing to watch once a week. As for Kanata... It looks really good, but I'm worried the main girl will just be a generic moe blob the whole time At least the lead male isn't totally bland.

 

Last season I watched Free! and SnK. Free is definitely a new favorite of mine, I'm sad it's over!

Loved that and love the manga. Oh yeah there is an OVA thats cute too.

 

Currently finished Blood Lad. I hope they continue it as it just went till episode 10 and the story is far from done. Its nice.

I'm watching Clannad at the moment. I really like it so far, story seems to be interesting and characters are beautiful. It is quite sad but still very lovely.

Finished watching Yahari Ore no Seishun Love Comedy wa Machigatteiru aka Oregairu. It's a nice anime if you consider yourself an introvert. It brings out your pet peeves.

As a person who is mostly an old schooler, I am watching Cyborg 009.

I just recently started watching Shakugan No Shana. I've been avoiding this series for a while for some unknown reason. I'm 6 episodes in now, and I'm fairly hooked on this series.

 

I've seen so many animes I've actually forgotten a lot of stuff I've already seen.

 

As far as some of my faves, they are as follows in no order:

My Little Sister Can't Be This Cute, Elfen Lied, Clannad, Chobits, Steins Gate, Fate/Zero (can't wait for the fate/stay night remake from ufotable), Ah! My Goddess, xxxholic, Rideback, Sora no otoshimono, familiar of zero, samurai 7, Tenchi Muyo, Baka To Test, The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat, Accel World. There's a lot of others too. I also am truly amazed at the evangelion reboot movies (seen the first 3 so far). Stunning visuals and an amazing job.

 

I just recently signed up for the EVS membership on funimation so I can stream any of their licensed shows 24/7. So awesome.

It is CRACK! omg, the lunacy. Kinda funny how 5 minutes in said "yawp, just look at those key-frames, this is FLCL in a new town" .. and of course, its Studio Trigger which was started by the guys who worked on FLCL

Today, I picked up a double VHS of "3x3 Eyes, Legend of the Divine Demon" *subbed, which should help my JP comprehension?*

 

Is this a continuation of Yakumo trying to find Pai?

Yep, I do! That was one of the first anime I ever saw at a flea market on DVD and had no idea what it was at that time. I still have that DVD set too!

Hmm, I have no clue on that because I've never heard of this. But I'm not up on my older anime titles like I should be. Let us know how it turns out?

 

 

As for me, I've rolling thru a bunch of stuff lately. Some of the more fun or cool shows were:

 

Blood Lad ( Ridiculous show about a human getting lost in the demon world and being helped out by an otaku vampire )

Hana Saka Iroha ( A very cute slice of life show about girls working at an inn )

Freedom ( A cell shaded style that looks like Akira )

Bingougami-Ha! ( This show is hilarious! )

 

And I just started a newer show called Hyouka. It's about a guy who is all about what he calls "energy conservation", meaning he's extremely lazy when it comes to doing anything he doesn't HAVE to do. But his new high school is where his older sister went and she makes him join a club there to keep it alive. This causes a chain of events that leads him and some of his friends into odd adventures that are all mysteries in some way or another. It's a fun show that takes everyday and pretty mundane "mysteries" and ramps them up into things that his club president HAS to see solved, whether the main character wants to or not. I'm about 8 episodes in and really enjoying it.

YES!!

It was by the same guy who did Catgirl NukuNuku which I luuuuuurved back in the day! (the OAVs of course, not the later TV series or green-haired NukuNuku reboot later)

It was my earliest intro to Megumi Hayashibara voice-acting too ..... ahh nostalgia

I would say most of the current Anime this season in a struggling manner. I'm enjoying "Ars Nova" a hell of a lot thanks to the whole WW2 warships turned futuristic. I was also being uh... "amused" by this weekend's yuri moment in Walklure Romanze episode . Gundam Build Fighters was also fun and now on my list fully while also hyping me up to play Gundam Breaker on my Vita.

 

Golden Time is the second favorite this season with all the love comedy going on. It got serious at some points only to go back to joking.

 

Also watching Tokyo Raven for Kon, Gingitsune for the foxes, Unbreakable Machine Doll among others that failed to come to mind. My computer hates me with all the Anime I'm watching heh.

I'm the same for Blood Lad! It drives me crazy when a series leaves off a season with no proper ending and makes you wait for the next season for answers. And I'm happy you're enjoying Hyouka. I just finished the last 3 eps tonight and I know what you mean about them not really telling viewers how those two went forward. But I sure liked what he imagined when he said that about helping her out.

 

I just started another anime tonight called "Moyashimon" and after just 2 episodes I'm loving it! I only read one or two tidbits of info on it before watching it and it sounded like a super weird and boring show. But I decided to try it anyways and I'm glad I did. It's extremely crazy and funny and the lead character tries to be calm and grown up while being stuck being able to see and hear MICROBES. It makes no sense I know but the way they present it, it's awesome.

I haven't watched many new series lately, but I did recently re watch a bit of Sword Art Online and both seasons of K-ON. I have dial up so I can't watch anything online anymore.

I'm currently rewatching Higurashi with my boyfriend. I haven't watched many new series lately, because I can't really find one that's interesting enough for me. I also didn't have my own internet connection for the past three weeks, so I was on my neighbours wifi which made watching anime impossible. If anyone has any good recommendations, let me know . I like anime that's in the fantasy, psychological, sci-fi, mystery and horror genre, with not too much humor. I don't like childish anime.
