sinclair Posted October 8, 2018 Ah a new season of anime. Have a whole list of various shows I'm starting. I'm sure I'll end up dropping a couple. Lots of moe blob this season, which I enjoy, as well as a couple dramas. But the one I was most happy to see and glad to start was Index III!!! And speaking of Index, how do we not have DDs yet? Tōma - DDB Index - DDP Mikoto - DDS Last Order - MDD
Chessmate Posted October 10, 2018 Recently I've been rewatching Digimon Adventure (planning on watching 02 + Tamers after I'm finished with this one) and this time around I'm enjoying it a lot more since it provides me with a lot of ideas for my OCs' stories since their doll vers are mostly Digimon AU-based, although I still need to find a Kuramon plush for Yoshiki (and a body, lol.) Besides that though, I've been trying to catch up on the new Cardfight Vanguard V anime, I'm honestly still not used to the new art style but its growing on me somewhat! I'm enjoying the anime nonetheless. Tasuke Posted October 13, 2018 been attempting to catch up on my Anime Bucket List lately. just picked up the full U.S. "To Heart" DVD set, and a sealed copy of the first volume of 'The Story of Saiunkoku" i'll probably have a real adventure on my hands, tracking down the remaining vols. of Saiunkoku, -at least at anything resembling a reasonable price- but i'll persevere, and get lucky eventually... in any case, at least i'll finally get to see the series that my dear little "Multi" here hails from;

Tasuke Posted October 26, 2018 well... it wasn't bad, per se, but it wasn't great, either. mainly, a waste of singularly adorable-looking characters that i've had a pretty strong liking for for well over a decade now. Sad, but hardly surprising. still, as i had already largely predicted, "Multi" here was easily the best character in the show by far...
gigglesky Posted October 26, 2018 I have been behind the schedule for 2-3 seasons now. Too busy with classes and assignments. Recently I got some time to watch chuunibyou demo koi ga shitai! movie: take on me (I'm so late haha).
tarasska Posted November 16, 2018 I just finished three seasons of The Seven Deadly Sins, which I enjoyed through season 2. Tried Sword Art Online, but that's not my cup of tea. Now I'm right on The Devil Is A Part-Timer! and loving it so far! Netflix is a decent place to look for anime.
cfx Posted November 16, 2018 I recently watched the entirety of Erased which I 100% loved. I'm watching Rascal Does Not Dream of Bunny Girl Senpai now as it airs and really like that too though I feel like maybe I should wait and watch it all together as I feel like I need to start over now to keep up with all the details. finnleo Posted November 17, 2018 A bit of a slow season for my sources... Uzamaid (Iffish... I know, but still amusing), and Reborn Slime maybe on the crunchy side of things worth any mention... and on Prime I found Irodoku to watch (premium PA Works life slice) ... and then Stumbled across No Game No Life Zero ... which was a roller-coaster to say the least... damn you Mad house, damn you. EDIT, oh... forgot about Zombie land saga ... slightly literal braindead humor, but amusing still. recent backlog entries included at least the following... Frame arms girl was added to crunchy, so watched that ... wasnt quite the Busou Shinki clone I thought it would be, but still amusing model kit advertisement. on Bluray, School live (the big reveal bit was still mui epic), Yushi-bu (silly burger-tainment), Maid-Sama (Guess will have to get the manga to see the story through, since I had already forgotten how abruptly the anime ends). Your name, and a A Silent Voice on disc to mention a few...oh yea.. finally got Gosick on disc during the summer too since the last update thats worth mentioning at least. Fruits basket discs were added to the to watch pile of blurays, which has stayed a steady size for some reason. Though mostly due to my player being on the way out and I need a new A-region replacement.
UnderOrange Posted November 21, 2018 I really love Fruits Basket. I gotta be careful though because it aaaalways makes me cry, lol
Moon-to-Starlight Posted November 21, 2018 I really love Fruits Basket. I gotta be careful though because it aaaalways makes me cry, lol Oh, man do I have some good news for you. They are remaking the series to follow the whole manga! Super exciting!
UnderOrange Posted November 21, 2018 No way!! That's so exciting! I'm gonna bawl my eyes out the manga is even more heart wrenching!
tarasska Posted November 23, 2018 I will post this here, because I tend to forget the names of the anime I've been watching. By the way, how do you guys keep tracking of the titles in case of you'd like to go back to a movie/series? I wanted to re-watch Hellsing, but it took me too long to recall the name. Oh, right. I recently watched Kuromukuro, Kakegurui:Compulsive Gambler and K (yes, that's the name of the series, such a pain to look up on IMDB...) and loved all three! I also tried Vampire Academy and newer Devilman:Crybaby. The first one was unnecessary gloomy and slow pacing, the second - unnecessary grafic.
sinclair Posted November 23, 2018 By the way, how do you guys keep tracking of the titles in case of you'd like to go back to a movie/series? As of late since I watch all my anime online, I just keep the bookmark for the series' page. Then when I'm done I can sort it into a subfolder. I have a folder named anime that all the bookmarks go in. In it there are subfolders. Most of the time when I learn of a show I bookmark it's page and it just goes in the 'anime' folder. If it's one I'm currently watching or want to see soon I add it to a 'currently watching' folder. Then when it's done I will add it to a 'watched' folder. If I drop a show for some reason and know I won't ever finish it, the bookmark goes into a 'dropped' folder. If I end up stopping a show, but think I may come back to it sometime I put it in a 'paused' folder. The great way this works if I come across something I think I want to see but I see I have bookmarked it already then I know I've already come across it. And if I want to rewatch something, then I can look at my 'watched' folder to narrow down the search pool if I don't remember the name. Sure it makes for a massive folder, but with bookmark syncing I always have the list. Plus if I somehow ever run out of items in my 'currently watching' folder I already have a list to pull from without having to do any searching.
kinkachou Posted November 25, 2018 Finished Mob Psycho 100 relatively recently... I want more. I'm so so so happy they're doing a second season! Reigen is definitely one of my favorite characters out of all of the series I've watched Cells at Work/Hataraku Saibou is also really good, though I think it functions better as a manga with all the explanations they give regarding various bodily functions and cell activities during the episodes. Black lives matter.
Anna-neko Posted November 25, 2018 I've been neglecting anime a bit lately.. but if you guys aren't watching Skull-face Bookseller Honda-san you're missing out!!

Gabriel Posted November 26, 2018 Rewatching Space Battleship Yamato 2199, this time with the Star Blazers 2199 english dub from Funimation.
cfx Posted November 26, 2018 Rewatching Space Battleship Yamato 2199, this time with the Star Blazers 2199 english dub from Funimation. Speaking of that, I had been watching 2202 on CR. A new episode hasn't been up in months but I check once in a while. Yesterday I found all episodes of 2199 and 2202 have been removed. Some info is still there and one patch I took I got 404 messages. I read somewhere CR and Funi have ended whatever their arrangement was. Don't know if it's true but maybe that is why this happened. Getting to see a third or so of it for it to stop is really frustrating. I hate AT&T for various reasons. They now own CR; can I blame them for this?
sinclair Posted November 26, 2018 I hate AT&T for various reasons. They now own CR; can I blame them for this? Yes, yes you can, as it's shortly after they got CR that the split happened.

They now own CR; can I blame them for this? And I read elsewhere that Sony entertainment had bought Funimation and thus was also in part to end the partnership, since sony likes to keep its toys to itself.. *cough*-aniplex-*cough* Not that I'd mind personally but region blocking is a thing for funi, and doesent work for me, but on the other hand Crunchy recently (at least in terms of where im watching it) had a influx of apparently sentai filmworks titles and also the dubbed catalog for what they had as subtitles only during the funi partnership. cfx Posted November 26, 2018 I don't like dubbed anime so don't keep up, but I know that with the previous Funi stuff like Yamato the dubs were only on Funi's own service while CR had subtitles. Maybe this split gives CR some extra freedom to have more dubbed stuff? There's a fluff (tooting their horn, no actual information) news item on their front page now about how they're adding so much dubbed stuff.
finnleo Posted November 27, 2018 Maybe this split gives CR some extra freedom to have more dubbed stuff? Their just taking back what was theirs in terms of license's for starters. the split was as far as I recall that Funi would take crunchy licenses and distribute dubbed versions of those, and crunchy the subbed stuff from funi's catalog. Didnt have funi's service (since its geoblocked) so wouldnt know for sure how it worked in practice. But... shall see how it all evolves again... (while waiting for Kabaneri season 2 to arrive on prime... maybe )

Didnt have funi's service (since its geoblocked) so wouldnt know for sure how it worked in practice. Oh I see. I just got that they were doing the second part of that, like with how Yamato was. From what little I looked at Funi's service is paid only except for a single ep or two so you can check things out, so I don't have it. It's not that I'm that cheap; I will buy stuff on disc that I like. My personal quirk is that paying for streaming is throwing money away just like renting; it's just because I'm a packrat that likes to own things or something I'm sure. (I buy games on disc too and only ever buy digitally in the case of something I can't get otherwise and often just skip it in that case and don't game on PC for that reason since I refuse to support Steam.) To be clear, I don't use the shady sites either as I'm vehemently anti-piracy (along with being anti-recast in this hobby).
