MrFjmg03 Posted January 30, 2019 I just finish watching Bannana Fish and the 3rd season of My Hero Academia.
cfx Posted January 31, 2019 Between fighting loneliness over holidays in December and dealing with the aftermath of dental surgery this month I've watched a whole lot of things to pass the time. Arpeggio of Blue Steel, Fairy Tail (all of the nearly 300 episodes heh), Orange, and other things I can't remember right now. Of currently running things I am watching and like The Rise of the Shield Hero and That Time I was Reincarnated As A Slime, perhaps surprising since I haven't much cared for other isekai that I've either watched or dropped after I couldn't take more than an episode or two. I bought a bunch of blu-rays on sale before Christmas but am not currently set up to watch that so it'll be a while. And I got treated bad by Funimation where I placed an order of items on sale with one out of stock so my order was held, and then when they process it earlier this month they cancel it with no warning or explanation other than it's canceled. I ask and when they finally answer a week+ later tell me there was a credit card issue, even though it went through when I placed the order, and the only solution is to reorder. And of course the sale is long over and no, I'm not ordering again when everything is over 2X the price and the only reason I don't have my stuff is they can't make an effort to contact me instead of just canceling. I got far better service where else I ordered (Robert's Anime Corner and Right Stuf).
Poofiemus Posted January 31, 2019 Yay, someone else doing That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime! I just picked it up this week and I'm loving it. It's goofy and adorable, and given how much I love Mooncake from Final Space, it's probably safe to say I am officially weak for OP non-Newtonian gooblobs. In this household, sanity is considered a tresspasser.
cfx Posted January 31, 2019 It's goofy and adorable Yeah, perfect description.
sinclair Posted February 1, 2019 I'm also loving Slime and Shield Hero. I'm also watching Index III, but it has really been disappointing, it seems in order to understand what's going on you need to have read the LN. I feel so lost because they are jumping around so much. The parts with Accelerator feel like they are a completely different series. I'll admit to watching the moe blobs of Endro and An Angel Flew Down. Then there's Date a Live III, Kemurikusa, and Girly Airforce. And I will also admit that I liked Hand Shakers, so I was pleased to see a sequel in W'z. But with having gotten a new job that actually keeps me busy, I don't get to watch as much as I want or was used to (No more watching at lunch time.)
cfx Posted February 1, 2019 I was curious about Index III but I haven't seen the predecessors and those are some of the things now removed from Crunchyroll. I'm also watching Girly Air Force but was waiting for someone else to admit it first hehe. It's pretty good so far. I'm also liking The Quintessential Quintuplets and while I'm not sure how I feel about Kaguya-sama: Love Is War it's interesting enough I'm still watching. I'm really interested in Date A Live III but I want to rewatch the first two series as it's been a pretty long time since I watched them. I have those blu-rays so when I'm able to watch that I can catch up. I'm hoping/assuming III will get to what Kurumi's actual goal is. (I'm aware of this part of the story as I got spoiled a long time ago unfortunately. Kurumi is also my favorite character in the show.) One of the other things I forgot I watched back in December when I started my mega binging was The Asterisk War which I ended up liking pretty well. I had also watched Zetsuen no Tempest which I am kind of mixed on because I disliked some of the characters and some aspects of the story as well but liked enough to finish it. Princess Hakaze was a great character but the two main guys are kind of insufferable jerks, especially Mahiro.
finnleo Posted February 20, 2019 Currently going through my backlog of anime bluray's ... Love, Chunibyo and other delusions: Take on me, was an amusing movie addition to the series which I liked quite a lot. Re:Zero's first part was as impressive as it first aired. Dunno was it better with the shadows leaving the sticky things to the imagination or .. worse.. however you want to put it. The original Fruits Basket makes me wonder how are they supposed to make this better in the next season of series... yes they can probably make it more pretty, but I expect something to be lost in the process. Kabaneri of the Iron fortress/Iron Maiden hasn't lost any of its crazy luster even though the Hiroyuki Sawano score doesent still quite fit in it for me... but still one the greatest that's been made recently. Re:Zero was still something else ... even with just the first part. Aldnoah Zero S1 I still think is a bit of a Gundam Seed remake, but the first half still holds up, even with Blood orphans rather violently bringing back Sunrise into this game. If onyl Sawano wouldnt have his silly thing for Engrish lyrics that make 70% sense in his music. A certain Magical Index II & Railgun S -- While the index side of things went a bit silly, and im not really looking forward to Index-III, but season 2 of the Railgun side that elaborated on the sisters between Index I and II is still quite something .. "I am just a lab-rat, with a unit production cost of 30000$" (I can sort of understand why a few online friends of mine are more excited for Railgun-III than than Index-III) Still to watch in the pile: Kill la Kill 1/3 , Is this a Zombie S1/2, Higurashi S1/2/3, Strike witches 2, Noragami S1, Owarimonogatari Part 2, and some other stuff I am forgetting since its been years since I got some of these discs... Current season streams: Girly airforce -- I still cant figure out why they chose the Gripen, considering the F4, and F15 are in the japanese airforce... you'd think they would have gone with the F35... but I guess it would have been rude to their allies in arms to call that faulty at the start... *ahem* Still just watch-time filler thats nothing new under the sun. Slime reincarnated manages to still keep its amusement factor, even with Rimuru not being the top bad ass anymore... Shield Hero has been so far quite positive despite the whole popular summoned to a other world type deal... cant remember when I last rewatched part of a series so quickly than I did with the Raphtalia introduction... though its now on a tight rope with the more recent additions. Magical Spec ops Asuka This thing follows the trend of painting over the pink luster of magical girls with a blood red hue -- but I cant say its the best of efforts.. still watching it though. Endro Got to have at least one stupid comedy on the list ... Quintuplets ... well, this just takes the Futakoi thing a few steps further... predictable to a fault, but sort of fun I guess,

After 5 episodes I think I'm giving up on this. I was watching it as somewhat entertaining fluff but I'm finding myself less and less interested with each episode, and I now find Phantom to be really irritating. Slime reincarnated manages to still keep its amusement factor, even with Rimuru not being the top bad ass anymore... I think that's for the best. With how easily he beat the Orc Lord with Predator battles might become trivial and boring. And his plan is to be more of a negotiator and one who unites so he doesn't want that reputation, as shown by him having those other guys going around taking credit for his other victories. This I avoided watching after learning it was bloody and gory as I'm too much a wimp for that. Quintuplets ... well, this just takes the Futakoi thing a few steps further... predictable to a fault, but sort of fun I guess, I think this is really fun, but mabye I haven't seen so many similar ones. finnleo Posted February 21, 2019 Girly airforce --After 5 episodes I think I'm giving up on this. I was watching it as somewhat entertaining fluff but I'm finding myself less and less interested with each episode, and I now find Phantom to be really irritating. mm, you're not going to miss much I guess.. I mean its basicly upotte with airplanes, so its not like its anything special in that sense. the character chemistry is also cliché'd so its not hard to predict that Phantom will most likely get beaten in the next episodes, and she'll turn into a Tokisaki Kurumi type character that still pushes everybody's buttons from thereon out. Oddly enough I am intrigued by Phantom the most, because she's jaded by practice and not really by default. Slime reincarnated I think that's for the best. With how easily he beat the Orc Lord with Predator battles might become trivial and boring. And his plan is to be more of a negotiator and one who unites so he doesn't want that reputation, as shown by him having those other guys going around taking credit for his other victories. Well actually rimuru just wants piece and quiet with minimal effort and attention to himself, but if he can get something out of a opportunity, he will take it -- hence the occasional shrude or not so shrude negotiations... "nope.. not beating that -- But here, have some honey!" Magical Spec ops AsukaThis I avoided watching after learning it was bloody and gory as I'm too much a wimp for that. mm, well the thing is, and this might sound a bit morbid -- yes there are flying bodyparts and some gore ... but not nearly enough to make it stand out from some other shows that went after the shock-and-awe approach. So now it ends up as a gritty Nanoha Strikers ... whereas something like Magical girl raising project really puts the screws on watchers in my opinion. QuintupletsI think this is really fun, but mabye I haven't seen so many similar ones. mm, its not bad in general, and there are a few bright idea's in it with the premises .. but when you've been active in the hobby since the like's of Love Hina aired these harem things do get a bit on the been there done that side of things. -- But I'm still watching it... so there's that. Hollytastic Posted February 21, 2019 Quintuplets is the only currently airing show I'm watching. I'm a sucker for harems and reverse harems... what can I say? It seems good so far. I like the ideas behind it. And of course I have picked a favorite! I'm also rewatching Steins;Gate... just because I love it.
Mega Negi Posted February 27, 2019 This season, only Kemono Friends S2. Can't wait for S4 of HeroAca, though.
Moonsour Posted March 3, 2019 The only anime I'm currently watching weekly releases of is Jojo's Bizarre Adventure Part 5. Everything else we're watching at home right now is completed series for the most part, since my fiance hasn't seen a lot. So we're catching up on things together. We're about 200 episodes from the end of Shippuden right now, and we may move on to Boruto after that.
baldylox Posted March 3, 2019 Just finished up "Gundam Build Divers". Quite a fun show with lots of good story and some great mecha action. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.
cfx Posted March 21, 2019 I forgot I bitched about Funimation's shop awhile ago up there. CS responses were kind of slow but they took care of me so I'm happy with them. I mentioned being unsure about Kaguya-sama: Love is War; I love the show now, and I feel a need to post this:
Daisy-chan Posted March 21, 2019 I've been only watching That Time I got Reincarnated as a Slime lately. It's one of the few isekai anime I've seen that I actually ended up liking, but i think that's either done airing or we have only one more episode left, I can't remember... So now I need to catch up on my watch list. I've been putting off HeroAca S3 way too long, and then I've been meaning to watch the Danganronpa animes since I finished playing the first two games, and once I finish playing Persona 5 I want to watch the P5 anime... Too many animes, too little time...

Episode 23 sort of wrapped up current storylines and at the end of that was a preview for an "extra" episode, #24, but I saw something that implied there are two parts to that one so there may be a #25. At any rate, a second season has been announced. I don't know how schedules work though so I don't know when that will start. In general I haven't found most isekai too interesting but I like this one and Shield Hero a lot. Re:Zero I only lasted an episode or two because I can't take shows with explicit graphic violence; Knight's and Magic and Death March to the Parallel World were forgettable; Log Horizon (season 1 only) was good, Konosuba was fun but forgettable...I can't think of others offhand. I've seen up to episode 23 so I supposed I'll just wait until season 2 is released and I'll catch up on any "extra" episodes then. My friend has been telling me how good Shield Hero is, I'm tempted to watch it but I really should start on my long list of anime I've been meaning to watch. As for the other shows you mentioned, Re:Zero is the only one I've watched but I also ended up dropping that one after about 12 episodes I think? I, personally, was fine with the graphic violence though I understand it's not for everyone. What made me drop Re:Zero was how cringe-y and embarrassing Subaru was all the time. It's hard to enjoy an anime when you just can't stand the main character and want him to shut his mouth every time he speaks. Though, sometimes I'm really tempted to start Re:Zero back up again because I really got invested into the story and wanted to see where they were going with it... cfx Posted March 22, 2019 According to an article I found, season 2 of Slime won't air until next year. I need to avoid that kind of violence and gore completely because once I see it, it haunts me forever; I can still remember in great detail things I saw and wish I hadn't over 30 years ago. Unfortunately it's hard to know. The ratings are kind of meaningless. Re:Zero is TV-MA but other shows with that rating aren't as violent, while some things with the TV-14 have gore too. And yeah, I hated all the characters in that show too, at least in the part I watched.

neonhologram Posted March 25, 2019 I've been on a marathon run of Jojo's Bizarre Adventures - on Part 4 right now. I don't know why I didn't get into it sooner. I became interested because of the massive amounts of music references (e.g. I had been introduced to King Crimson's Court of the Crimson King on vinyl, and I then I later found out it was the name of a foe in the series.) If liked SAO I would recommend .hack//Sign, .hack//Liminality, and .hack//Quantum. I found .hack//Roots eminently forgettable. The difference between Dollfie Dreams and Heroin? Heroin is illegal, Dollfie Dreams probably should be. “Empty wallets, full hearts.” That’s probably an apt description for the effects of DD addiction
