What Anime are you watching?

Lately I haven't been interested in watching anime. The last one I saw was K and I stopped at ep.10. Will finish it someday ><;;

The only anime this season that has caught my interest has been Maoyu. I'll definitely have to give some of these other animes mentioned in this thread a try.

Holy crap... what am I "not" watching... I'm a little late at all times so there's many series that are over but I watch anyway.

The only anime this season that has caught my interest has been Maoyu. I'll definitely have to give some of these other animes mentioned in this thread a try.

 

Just saw the second ep of maoyuu, and the time just flew past. Despite the fact that a lot of the content of the series is fairly dry, the characters just pull me along with them. Really loving it.

 

Thes a new Ghost in the Shell series coming soon too, Ghost in the Shell Arise. The promo image depicts what appears to be a younger Motoko (of course, given that she's a cyborg... Doesn't necessarily mean much) and the name seem to indicate that it will be a prequel. Just a *tad* bit excited for this one. XD

I haven't started winter season yet (anyone got any good recs?), so I'm still nibbling on the remains of the prior season. That'd be: Magi, Psycho-Pass, Robotics;Note and Shinsekai Yori. The last is my ultimate favourite show of the fall season.

Well, with a new year and season the list now changes -

All but Vividred really interest me. Loving Mao, loving Magi, loving Psycho-Pass and always looking forward to more Fairy Tail lasciviousness. Even the Mondaiji anime reminds me of Dog Days. I got MAL to keep up with my Anime viewing.

 

I also picked up this manga for the nice hidden beauty within it - http://myanimelist.net/manga/46780/Gachirin_ni_Kiri_Saku - Poor gal and victims, yet awesome story so far. Hoping to see it being anime-fied.

I've got a lot going on this season, and a bit I didn't get to last season as well.

Finished Arakawa Under the Bridge season 2. I liked it, but it really needs a season 3 to finish the plot line!

Currently watching Sakurasou no Pet.

 

It has cats in it. Therefore it is awesome! Lol

I just finished up "Nyan Koi", it's about a guy who is allergic to cats who breaks a cat god statue and gets cursed. He then has to help out 100 cats with their various problems in order to get uncursed. It was pretty funny and the cast of supporting characters was good. I don't think it got a second season even tho it needed one.

 

 

Finished Arakawa Under the Bridge season 2. I liked it, but it really needs a season 3 to finish the plot line!

 

 

I tried watching the first season of this and got thru about 5 or 6 episodes before I dropped it. It was WAY too random, made no sense at all and wasn't particularly funny to me. I know it's a comedy series and it was supposed to be random but I've never been able to watch shows like this for long. I know I'm in the minority but when "Excel Saga" was super popular, I gave it a whirl and after 8 eps, I couldn't bear it any longer. That type slapstick humor just did nothing for me and I'm pretty sure Arakawa doesn't work for me due to being similar to Excel *to me*.

 

Don't get me wrong, I like funny anime shows and fart jokes as much as the next guy but I just couldn't get into those shows.

I had the same problem with Excel Saga. I got through 3-4 episodes and just couldn't watch any more. Too random and made no sense whatsoever. There was another show around the same time that was also extremely popular and highly rated that I thought had the same issues, but I just can't remember the name now. Something about some kid that had a robot pop out of his head when he was hit with a guitar. I actually watched that one all the way through, but couldn't for the life of me understand why so many people thought it was so incredible. It just left me confused and kind of bored.

 

One that was slightly random and very silly that I did/do like, though I could never quite explain to anybody why, is Dokoida. For some reason, maybe just when I'm in a certain mood, that one just cracks me up. Which reminds me, I also need to re-watch Nerima Daikon Brothers. (speaking of random).

For me, it's an amazing show, but I definitely understand why some people don't like or don't 'get' it. The reason that so many people love it is because of the deep subtext that it constantly plays with. It draws upon, and ridicules, a ton of different aspects of anime and manga and the subculture that has grown up around them.

 

For instance there's about ten Gundam references in the first episode alone...

I just got started on the 2011 hunter X Hunter. That was a mistake. It's way better than school work.

Right now I'm re-watching Mirai Nikki for the 5th time. Words cannot express how much I love that show. Although I really should watch something new at some point.

I haven't been watching much lately, just the second seasons for AKB0048 and Boku wa Tomodachi Sukunai. There just hasn't been much lately that keeps me interested.

Just finished the subbed D.Gray-man and still watching Hunter x Hunter 2011. Not much else. Will probably start SAO next.

Been watching Soul Eater. It's pretty awesome. I'd tried watching it a couple times and failed. But I forced myself and it's totally worth it. I watched Ju oh Sei recently....not worth it. Maybe....nope not worth it. I watched a Korean anime the other night called Yobi something and it was actually pretty good. Reminded me of Studio Ghibli stuff in that sort of feeling you get when you watch it.

I red Kamichama Karin a while ago and start watching the anime a while ago.

Starting Clannad over and watching it with my boyfriend who has already seen it/read the VN. I honestly wasn't into it when I watched the first couple episodes the first time...like I wasn't connecting with the characters. They all seemed too typical, but now I love it and I love Fuuko! I foresee cosplaying as someone as well as dressing up Mikuru as someone

Finished watching Persona 4 anime and Steins;Gate just recently. ;. So now I'm watching Planetes! It's really good so far. :3

Saiyuki! I'm a complete dork and had no idea about this anime until I saw a pic of guys and one had glasses. I had to find out who it was and then found the anime online. After watching 5-ish episodes I had to buy it. I totally love it.

 

Also just recently finished Sukisho, working on Loveless, and finished Princess Princess. I watch more normal ones too, I swear! D Gray Man, Black Butler, Soul Eater, Fairy Tale, and Slayers are also some of my favorites. I liked Baccano a lot for the story, but I had a hard time dealing with the gore so I don't know when or if I would watch it again.

Finished watching Persona 4 anime and Steins;Gate just recently. ;. So now I'm watching Planetes! It's really good so far. :3

 

Oh gosh! I love Persona 4 and Stein's Gate. Its what prompted me to get a Yu Narukami figure, as well as the equivalent of their petit version. I also have 3 Stein's Gate figures of Makise Kurisu and her Nendo and pre-ordered Okabe. I am still looking for Mayuri though... Gah! In some ways, I really ought to stop watching anime hehehe. I find I have to get a figure that represents the ones I like. Between the figures, my husband's Gunpla and the DDs, there is no more room in our house

Just finished the D.Gray-man anime and reading the manga. I love Allen Walker! And Soul Eater was just awesome.
