baldylox Posted May 30, 2013 Just finished that too. Quite interesting. Don't know yet if I will watch the movie since I did the mistake of reading about it before I watched the movie. Not a very good idea Ohh, you HAVE to watch BOTH movies to get ALL the story! If you don't see those, you'll never get closure on the entire story. They're both well worth watching. Never saw Bakuman, maybe I'll try that next. ne thing I wish they'd get around to finishing is Natsume Book of Friends. Bakuman is really good due to the story and the characters. I found it really fun and entertaining. As for Natsume, that show rocked! It was so nice to see that style show compared to other youkai based stories. I watched all 4 seasons of Natsume and enjoyed every minute. If you can watch it, I highly recommend it. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop. Anna-neko Posted June 1, 2013 (edited) As usual bein late to the party - just started Attack of Titan Really wanted to read the manga, but every freakin vendor at AnimeBoston was sold out of 1st volume (Kodansha Comics people were like "would you like vol 3? If you were here Friday morning we still had the whole series, but now .. outta luck") also, anyone else think its weird the show's stream on Crunchyroll doesn't believe in subbing the opening song, but the Hulu stream does? ... weird.. *shrugs* Oh well, Hulu always runs better for me anyway! but yeah... this takes care of my violent violence droolworthy animation needs for the time being. It fills an odd placement in my current rewatch line up (Champloo, One Piece, Escaflowne, Golden Boy) Edited June 2, 2013 by Guest

Yukamina Posted June 2, 2013 Now I've started back on "Bakuman" second season. The first season was excellent and I wanted to see more but had to wait a bit for my buddy to find it and send it to me. Now I have all 3 seasons and plan to watch the rest of the series until I'm finished. It's a really fun show about high school kids making manga and then getting serialized in Shonen Jump ( which they call Shonen Jack ). It's really cool, fun and easy to get into even if you know nothing about manga and it's process. Billy I've been making my way through the Bakuman manga (as it becomes available at my library), and it's really good I haven't thought about watching the anime version, though (in the manga, they call it Shounen Jump still) My Etsy Shop ~~~ My DeviantArt
Pahsmina Posted June 3, 2013 Started to follow OreImo season 2 but gave up on it. I really adored season 1 but season 2 just doesn't have the same feeling at all? Only following shingeki no kyojin ATM. Really nice so far. Nigoki Posted June 10, 2013 Shingeki no Kyojin is by far my favourite of the current season. I'm watching more than usual this season, aside for that I'm keeping up to date with Aka no Hana, OreImo 2, Suisui no Gargantia, Railgun S and Hyakka Ryouran Samurai Bride. nogo171 Posted June 10, 2013 Shingeki no Kyojin is definitely #1 anime of this season but Valvrave the Liberator also draws quite a lot of attention from me. The funny thing is that eye design that was first thing to draw me in despite the fact that it's a mecha anime lol. Somehow the eyes of all character always remind me of DD eyes Some of the music bring back memories of Code Geass day too At home Haruka (Haruka Niimi), Akira (Akira), Saber (Saber Alter), Madoka (Madoka SQ-Lab), Rise (Rise Kujikawa), Yukiho (Yukiho Hagiwara) & Touka (DDH-07)
Anna-neko Posted June 10, 2013 think its safe to say Titans have totally got us all, so if anyone needs me I'm just dyin of many assorted feels on top of Wall Maria Also have just discovered Time of Eve. Its shiny, its pretty, it takes care of my robotics Isaac Asimov needs for the day... and sadly its far too short!
Cauldroness Posted June 10, 2013 The current watch list includes Gargantia on the Verdurous Planet (current favorite) and Attack on Titan (close 2nd). I'm also watching Read or Die the TV, which my friend promised me was amaaaazing, but holy crudbuckets is it slow. I've heard it speeds up around ep 13? baldylox Posted June 10, 2013 I'm not watching anything recent or current. But I'm power watching the second and third seasons of "Bakuman" now. This series just continues to keep getting better and better! I only have 10 episodes left to the series and I look forward to how things will wrap up. Over the weekend, I managed to power thru 19 episodes of it.... 4 from the second season and 15 from the third. I much prefer marathoning anime shows than watching one or two eps a week. I get forgetful on stuff with long breaks so when I have a series as a whole, I'll watch it all as soon as possible so things stay fresh in my mind and it's easier to keep up. I'm not sure what I'll watch next but "Betterman" sounds interesting and I have that one in the line. Or maybe it's giant robot time so "G-Gundam" may be on tap. Kochan Posted June 14, 2013 Just finished Mirai Nikki a couple of weeks ago. Sad, story, but I quite liked it. Didn't get hooked and marathon it like I did with Haruhi though. Finished season 1 of Oreimo a week before that. I definitely enjoyed the light-heartedness in that one. Just recently I started watching Oda Nobuna no Yabou. I'm only a couple of episodes in, so I can't exactly say anything about it so far.
Keijogirl Posted June 14, 2013 If my internet would ever hold up for long enough I'd be watching Kaichou Wa Maid. But since it won't I can't :C It's like the universe said no to me watching that show. I started it got through 1.25 episodes and my laptop's charger arced and shorted out synging my bed xD I switch to my desktop and the internet's down along with the cable. Thus i can't do anything even with my laptop when the new charger gets here til Monday when a technician gets here xD I normally don't watch that kind of anime at all ever, so i think I gave my lappy an aneurizm or something because everything's making it a point for me to not continue XD At Home: Kiyo, Hikaru , Nikko, Komaki, Miho, Kana-chan, Tamakits, Illya, Misa, Deku, Nao, Zana, Ciri, Aki, Alisa, Kana, Yuka, Kiki, Komaki (Oni Mode), Ai, Chili, Nagisa, DDh03, Erica, Miyabi, Jun, Haruka, Sasha, and Laila Saving for: Accessories! Anna-neko Posted June 14, 2013 Continuing my "eternally late for the bandwagon" watching - Sword Art Online Its cute, can kinda see why everyone went nuts for it, and ..errr.. its shiny? Also can't stop making really dumb jokes at it. You know, things current world gaming is plagued with - lag, bugs, odd glitches and the obvious case of "never buy at launch!". Because really, if NerveGear is as reliable as my old Xbox360 connection was... I'd be braindead before reaching lvl 5 ....this series is making me miss the days of playing Ragnarok Online (original beta before it went P2P... dammit I'm old!) and simultaneously wanting to find and rewatch .hack//Sign
katnaper Posted June 15, 2013 Just caught up with hentai prince and the Stony Cat. Started Tantei Gakuen Q. I really liked the manga. HimeNeko Posted June 23, 2013 Almost done watching BRS. Probably gonna start watching Tonari no Kaibutsu kun again after this. There's a few I'd recommend (I probably have a different taste in anime than most people though.): Inuyasha: A fantastic story! Absolute must - watch. Vampire Knight: A bit too romantic for me.... I don't like too romantic animes Black Rock Shooter: One of the best animes I have ever watched. DEFINITELY watch if you haven't yet Yumeiro Patissiere: Okay I guess.... A lil' bit too childish. Fairy Tail: I did enjoy it. Soul Eater: Okay.... I didn't like the drawings though. Acchi Kocchi: So funny! I enjoyed it very much. xD Kaichou wa Maid-sama: Also one of my fave animes! It was romantic but I liked it anyway. Then there was this anime with Yozora and Sena.......... Can't remember the name Theres tons of more that I can't remember the names of......... On temporary hiatus. Home: Charlotte (DDS Mayu) Saving: currently none
katnaper Posted June 26, 2013 Just finished watching the following: "Lovely Complex" - I found it really cute but I don't advise watching it when your pregnant, hormonal and very emotional at least not without a box of tissues. (Mind you I cry at sad animal themed movies too so maybe that was just normal for me ) "Lovely Detective Labyrinth" - not very into it but it's okay "Nightwalker" - kinda old school vamp detective "Tantei Gakuen Q" - loved it. Thinking of watching: "Kimi ni Todoke" (read the manga and watched the live action movie, I really liked it), "Spiral: Lines of Reasoning" "Shion No Ou" "Tactics" "Witch Hunter Robin" "Darker than Black" We have our own BLOG. chocolateyana Posted June 26, 2013 I'm revisiting a couple of older series that I never quite got done with. Rewatching Amagami SS for something nice and light-hearted, and working my way through Tiger & Bunny at long last. Also thinking of revisiting some really old classics like Rurouni Kenshin... But most of my time is being spent going through really old manga series. I suddenly feel really old as everyone else is waiting on new episodes of Railgun or Attack on Titan. I'm just having my little nostalgic moments.
Anna-neko Posted June 26, 2013 But most of my time is being spent going through really old manga series. I suddenly feel really old as everyone else is waiting on new episodes of Railgun or Attack on Titan. I'm just having my little nostalgic moments. Ya wanna feel old? Look at the new volume of SailorMoon coming out next month, remember how its a reprint and how you used to go crazy back in HighSchool tracking down the original Japanese books! or in utter desperation willing to settle of Korean or Chinese versions, 'cause not like you could read 'em anyway..... Tho now that you've mentioned it, been feeling like a massive Kenshin re-read myself. Sadly the library doesn't have it ;_;
SisterKyoya Posted June 30, 2013 Thinking of watching:"Darker than Black" I really Love Darker than Black! For quite a while I wasn't sure if I'd get into it but I slowly became addicted and lost a few night's sleep finishing it. XD I haven't been watching much anime except finally getting around to watching Ouran High School Host Club in Japanese. Now that I know some Japanese the speech patterns don't throw me off badly like they did before. I almost forgot about Gakuen Heaven too. I've been more focused on reading manga and I finally have the first four of Descendants of Darkness. That's one I found because I watched the anime a couple of years ago and fell in love with the sadistic megane doctor. I was so pleased that the manga are even better. One of these days I have plans to get around to watching Bleach. I've seen the first couple of episodes and really liked it, but I've been keeping too busy to look it up again. As a bit of a side note, Raven and I watched a trailer for the dub of Tiger & Bunny a few weeks ago and I can say I'm totally disgusted that Tiger doesn't even remotely sound like the Japanese version! His voice and inflection is one of the reasons I love the original show because he is so funny and was voiced by an excellent voice actor. The dub version just sounds totally flat and bland in comparison. I am SO glad I watched the whole series in Japanese first. I just can't imagine Tiger not sounding like Tiger! ~Sister Kyoya Forum Blog: Badger Pocket Tales (Family story from the beginning) | { Old Family story reboot: Start Here! } Follow me on Twitter, Flickr & Instagram
nogo171 Posted July 4, 2013 This summer seems to be a treat for doll owners with 2 doll related series.
