What Anime are you watching?

For me this season has been - Sword Art Online 2 (best season yet), Log Horizon 2 (awesome!) and Wolf Girl and Black Prince (Love it, but had to give it a chance).

I've had some time off recently so I'm catching up on anime series I've wanted to watch...

 

First up was "Sword Art Online 2". I really liked the first series so I was looking forward to this one. I waited until it was all done before I started watching it because I much prefer marathoning a show than watching it one episode at a time every week. It was a good show overall and even tho I felt the action wasn't nearly as hot and heavy as the first one, it still had some awesome moments. There were also a big share of emotional spots this time, the whole Yuuki thing really got me tearing up. So I'd say it was a good series to watch.

 

After that I watched "I don't understand what my husband is saying." It's a series of 13 VERY short episodes, 3 minutes each on average, about a newly married couple where the husband is an otaku and the wife is not. So she has a hard time figuring out what he's talking about since he uses lots of anime/manga references in his speech. Seeing them interact is often hilarious so if you want a fast series to watch and enjoy, try this one out.

 

Lastly I watched the movie "A Letter to Momo". It was a very cute story and well done in a similar tone as most Studio Ghibli movies. The characters were fun and there's also plenty of "feels" in there too. I highly recommend it if you like Miyazaki styled stuff.

I recently watched Gekkan Shoujo Nozaki-kun. It was adorable and hilarious. It's about a girl who confesses her feelings to her classmate, but he misunderstands. He's a mangaka and thinks she's just confessing to being his fan, so he ropes her into becoming his assistant.

 

This season, I've been watching Sailor Moon, Kiseijuu/Parasyte and Cross Ange. Sailor Moon is self-explanatory, and Kiseijuu is horror/scifi about parasitic aliens who infect and eat humans. Cross Ange is...special. If you enjoyed Code Geass and Valvrave for being ridiculous and over-the-top, you'll enjoy it. I started watching Psycho Pass 2 but decided I'd rather marathon it, so I'll catch up on that when I have a free day.

I haven't been watching nearly as much as I used to, and it's kind of upsetting.

 

Right now, I'm following Sailor Moon Crystal religiously. The new episodes take sooo loooong to come out. I've also been rewatching Code Geass for the umpteenth time, and I recently soared through Diabolik Lovers. As much as I love cheesy shoujo romance anime, that one just crosses so many lines.

 

I've been meaning to watch the dub of Kill la Kill for comparison, and I'm more or less leaning toward rewatching Tokyo Mew Mew or Shugo Chara for nostalgia (ah, to be young and into anime). I still need to finish Kuragehime, it's just way too cute not to.

I just haven't been watching anime as much as I used to. I have a huge backlog and the most recent anime I've completed watching was Sword Art Online 2. I gotta finish Space Brothers. I know it's been done, but I just haven't gotten around to it.

I've been kinda sick lately, so I've been watching a lot of anime while resting. I just finished rewatching Fullmetal Alchemist, I'm working my way through Cowboy Bebop, and I might watch Evangelion and/or Escaflowne after this. Sometimes it's good to just rewatch some of my favorites... the ones I own on DVD anyway.

I'm watching Maria The Virgin Witch. As I grew older I became picky about anime.

My current list of animes: Sailor Moon Crystal(final of the season was a bit disappointing), Nisekoi, Toradora.

Maybe its time to search for some other animes q_q.

My GF and I are watching the OVA series of "Hellsing" that was on Cartoon Network. We've both seen the first 4 episodes before but anything after that is new to us both. I look forward to seeing more of this show.

 

I also started "Nisekoi" today and after 4 episodes I'm hooked. It's very fun with loads of craziness in there. It's sort of a longer series at 20 eps and an OVA but I look forward to watching it all since it's quite fun.

Trying to go through my list of unfinished anime, also actively working my way through Tokyo Ghoul season 2 and Binan Koukou Chikyuu Bouei-bu LOVE!!

 

I quite recently got back into watching anime, since I somehow stopped for a few years. Always hanged around in the community but a part of me went "anime is gross, anime is embarrassing" for a while. I was a weird teen..

And I just started Gokukoku no Brynhildr. Not sure how good this show will be but so far it's an interesting concept and it has my attention.

I am more a manga person, but there are a few animus I am watching, as Black Butler, attack on Titan, Ouran high school host club, elfen lied and bleach

Rummaging around my anime soundtracks lead to a spontanious digging up of a dusty old box set for a weekend marathon..

 

Namely Stellvia (Of the universe).

I'm re-watching Clannad as it's so sweet but it always gets to me near the end

I've been thinking about this as well! XD It's been on my to-watch-list for years but I've never gotten around to it... but right now there aren't that many weekly series that I'm watching, so it might be a good chance to watch older series. :3

 

Right now from the April 2015 anime I've only found Ore Monogatari interesting enough to watch, pretty much... and I'm watching Rinne, since I've liked Takahashi's older work but so far I haven't really gotten into it. And I'm continuing with Daiya no Ace as soon as the recap episodes end, it's my favourite series right now (from sports anime, I tend to love baseball ones the most). ^^ ♥

I'm only watching current weekly animes right now and there aren't many of them that I find very interesting. I'm always watching One Piece (though I enjoy the manga more), and in addition I'm watching Dia no Ace, Ore Monogatari, Kyoukai no Rinne, Arslan Senki and Assassination Classroom. I'm also waiting for Fairy Tail to some day continue with the actual story, and killing time with a few of the other new series I'm not finding very interesting.

 

I'm always on the lookout for interesting older, completed series, too, but I haven't downloaded anything lately.

I have fallen ridiculously behind... so this week is mini-bursts of ShiroBako

 

plus this .hack/SIGN rerelease .... s'cuse me while my inner fangirl parties like the early 2000s again

I'm currently rewatching Symphogear in anticipation of the third season. ^^ I'm also watching Aikatsu!. I like music anime.

I've just started Gundam Build Fighters Try and it's quite fun. I liked the first season ( which is 7 years prior to this new one ) and this show has lots of references to that show. I also LOVE all the Gundam noises they use form the original Gundam series.... nothing like hearing rotating head mounted chain guns going off! BZZZZRRTTTTTTT!

I recently finished season one of hell girl. It's a bit slow to start but past episode 10 it truly took off and caught my interest. It's very good if you like Japanese based paranormal stuff and tales of tragedy or vengeance, justified or otherwise.

 

A word of warning though, if you're an animal lover episode 18 will put your heart through a paper shredder and dump the remains in a vat of acid. It made me cry at least 5 times and afterwards I couldn't sleep and felt physically ill. I'm not upset over that though, I'm actually impressed because I don't think a story, anime or otherwise has ever done that to me before. I'm usually pretty thick skinned about those things.

 

After I finish that series I'll see about finishing lucky star finally. I always get distracted from it until I need to start over entirely. I'll be cosplaying Miyuki at AX so it will get me in the spirit!
