smallpotato Posted December 28, 2012 Hi everyone, Could anyone share your experience about DD wig fixation methods, please? How did you fix the wig on the DD head to avoid it sliding off? Some DD has larger head size or the wig size is too small. It is just painful to make the wig stable on the head Thanks in advance
Nekopon Posted December 28, 2012 When it's too big, you can try using one or multiple head caps.
finnleo Posted December 28, 2012 Volks has a special wigtape to keep wigs in place, which is sort of like the hard brushed side of velcro. Use of this is recomended on a few models by volks, like Beatrice's standard wig. My Yukino/Suisei has a variation of this done by the previous owner where there are criss crossed patches that have 1-2mm thick touble sized tape underneath to be able to use a bigger wig. Ahh, that's right! Totally forgot about these: http://www.volksusa.com/matlst0004.html They're called Doll Wig Stoppers, just what you need!
Juanita Posted December 28, 2012 I don't know if it is of interest for anyone, but to those of you who live outside of the US, you can get that doll fixing stickies from Cool Cat, too. (It's cheaper than ordering from the Volks int. site) Some people I have heard use rubber bands that they wrap a couple of times around the head. I guess it'll work, too, but I prefer to stay with the pitatto.
waha Posted December 28, 2012 I prefer using silicone wig caps, I found the Volks stuff too annoying to deal with.
baldylox Posted December 28, 2012 I prefer using silicone wig caps, I found the Volks stuff too annoying to deal with. Ditto. If I have any issues with wigs being too large and slipping off the girls heads, I use a silicone headcap and it fixes the issue no prob. Billy I gave up counting the girls I own, they keep multiplying and won't stop.

smallpotato Posted December 28, 2012 Thanks for everyone's reply. The wig stopper: will it leave a mark on the head? We all know how bad a tape mark is What about if the wig is smaller than the head? Any good solution? Thank you.
DJStarstryker Posted December 29, 2012 Thanks for everyone's reply. The wig stopper: will it leave a mark on the head? We all know how bad a tape mark is It comes off super easy and will leave a very slight sticky residue on the head. But you can get it off even as simply as by rubbing your finger on it. Very easy to remove, leaves no marks once you get that residue off. Are you ready to rock? ^_^
