On the other hand, I'm wondering whether there will be any DDs left for the regular shopping cart selling on Saturday. Not that it would be very likely to win the click wars, but I'm just curious.

I imagine there will be some from non-payers.

Sadly no Melty here in the after event either. But I got Aoko from USA who I wanted most, so I'm really happy regardless. Looks like I'll be trying to find her on the second hand market. TT-TT

I am so excited and glad after receiving VOLKS "magical" email to state that Melty will be joining my household! I am had been waiting desperately for this news that this sweet little tsundere will be descending to me~ My girls are overwhelmed with the news of their 8th sister as well!

 

However, I did not manage to secure Aoko though...

I don't think there will be any DDs left to be posted for sale on the online shop. Otherwise, it will be meaningless for the lottery system.

 

I think the DDs will only appear in the online shop when they are "over-stocked" which means there are "left-over" after the lottery. Take e.g. for Millhi's case whereby practically all those who entered the lottery got her. She was than posted for sale in the online shop quoting no lottery required for a short period of time b4 she got snatched off...

 

After all, it is not fair for those who entered the lottery but did not secure any and yet, VOLKS start selling these items in their online shop... This is just what I feel and it might be proven wrong.

Most of the DDs that "would" be posted would be non-payment from the AE lottery. So right now it depends on how many they have left because people could not pay for them not because they weren't all snatched up in the lottery.

 

Then again, Volks may seriously have just a few aside for click-wars time for people who had no luck in the lottery who really wants a chance to put their snatching skills to the test, but I doubt that's how it works. xD It's really probably non-payers.

The order procedures have been changed! Please read the following information very carefully.

From now on there are two ways you can place you order:

* by filling in the Order Sheet of the “Lottery Entry”　(December 28 - January 7);

* by adding items to your “Shopping Cart” (from January 12).

 

 

They always sold the leftovers via their sales at the end of the AE, so this could hardly be called a new method then. So my best guess is that they really reserved a couple of them just for the click wars on Saturday. How many though shall be the question.

Well, I won't be competing against you guys in the click wars at least. They'll probably be running it at Saturday at 10am Japan time I'd bet, since that's around the time that the in store after event will be running. I'll be at the store, so... Pretty curious how many the store will have available of the dolls.

Looking through the Aoko and Melty threads, I do find it really amusing how pretty much every last person who advertised that they won a doll has listed their location as Scotland, Ireland, or just "UK" in general. Maybe one or two from other places, but.. seriously, go and look!

 

Apparetly that was the secret this time. To win a DP28 doll in the international lottery, you needed to live in the EU ^_^;.

 

(yes, I know there are some EU folks who lost, too, but the overwhelming majority still seems to hold. Is this the first time we've seen a consistent trend in demographics?)

I was interested in this so I looked through all the threads up until the day before Volks USA winners were announced.

So yeah... Way more people from America winning than anywhere else in the world. Probably because they can enter VolksUSA, KL, WLD, and Volks Int. Whilst everyone else can enter Volks Int but can't get access to the US lottery dealers without a US address (friend, deputy service, etc. AND if they did so, the winner would be american because the system will see an american address!!!)

 

Also it should be noted that this looks like a very small number of winners. I think there were probably many more people that entered the lottery; but they might not visit these forums nor feel that it is important to report a win. Plus a lot of winners will be scalpers looking to resell! So we should also note that DDs are very expensive. Thus it isn't surprising that the majority of winners are those from wealthy countries.

SakuraSylph's talking about from the international lottery I think. Almost all of those US people won from either VolksUSA, Kerbey Lane, or We Love Dolls, I'm pretty sure.

Hnrgh, the dollies are listed for the click-wars! Looks like they'll be some of everyone. Must... not... try for... Aoko...

I am going to try my hardest to get Aoko after missing her in the lottery! :c

Luckily my time zone isn't all that different to Japan's, but i'm so worried about the website being laggy or (let's hope not) inaccessible due to high traffic. I've never participated in a volks click war before so i'm not too familiar with how popular they are.

My boyfriend got Melty, and i was so sad when i lost Aoko, but i'm really happy to have another chance to *hopefully* win her this time ~! I hope people who lost and still want her are able to buy her! Good luck to everyone ^__^
