Moments Part 8: Phyla/M

After the last part, Phyla escorts Morgaine down the hall towards where Aya is. Reaching the door, Phyla stops and turns.

 

 

Phyla: Pardon this one, but she wishes to converse with you before you enter.

 

 

M: *sigh* It seems like everyone wants to "converse" with me today.

 

 

M: Very well. Speak your mind.

 

 

Phyla: This one will be brief. You have wrong both this one and one...ones that she cares about. This one belongs to a warrior race and was taught from birth never to leave an enemy alive to attack again.

 

M: I am familiar with the concept.

 

 

Phyla: However, this one was also taught to forgive one's family when they have wronged one of their own. These have treated me as family and this one considers them as her own family. Since you are their blood, this one shall forgive you.

 

 

Phyla: However, if you betray them again, this one will no longer consider you family.

 

 

Phyla: This one is no longer weak and wounded like she was when you first found her. You will find her more than a match for you if you hurt her or hers. She is now on her guard and may forgive, but will never forget and always be vigilant. Do you understand this one?

 

 

M: I understand you... perfectly.

 

 

Phyla: Then, in the ways of her people, this one welcomes you in peace. You may enter. Remain in peace and depart in peace.
