juu-yuki Posted December 31, 2012 Good morning everyone!! I have another commission with me today, two in fact. This first post will be for Neris. I managed to upload all the photos before I collapsed last night. I really wanted to finishing typing my little blurb for both but for some reason, my Wordpress was acting up. I ran into some errors with the newly updated 3.5 version and did not want to stay up all night fixing it. Luckily, I managed to fix it this morning with some help over on the Wordpress forum. Everything should be working fine now, if you see any problems, please let me know. This commission was a bit of a challenge that has put me off Neris heads, at least for awhile. The customer requested a new kind of style which I had a hard time reproducing. Darker inner liner that faded out into a lighter colour. My paints were not meant for that gradation effect so I had to switch over to doing this completely in pencil crayons. The colour they requested for the eyebrows was hard to match, in the end, I could not match it -sadface-. It's a funny story because after I sealed this head and blushed it, I managed to mix the right colours for another commission. llllOrz Biggest failure/ success of my life, mixing paint. This was kind of a trail and error commission because I was stepping way out of my comfort zone. Needless to say, this was a wonderful learning experience. It was nice to see how far I can push my skills and what do you know, I kind of like this new "technique". Had to take photos indoor with my pink walls. Why must the sun set so early in the winter? Faceup: Repaint by me, included: - Head cleaning and faceup removal - Custom design and painting - 6 coats of sealant - Rina's Blush - Glossed lips I really love this wig. Funny because just the other day I was thinking about selling it to clear up some space in my closet. After seeing these photos, I think I might keep it for a little while longer. I have a another wig in the same colour I should get rid of. SALES THREAD COMING SOON OVER ON THE FORUM!! LOL. I wish I had some studio lights or some flashes, but I wouldn't know how to use them. Those big soft boxes also takes up a lot of room. I think I will stick to my two cheap lamp step-up. I must of looked like an idiot waving a lamp around. lllOrz Onwards to the next commission post. Enjoy. Feel free to leave critics if there is something you like/ dislike. =] More photos here: http://shiroyuki.juu-yuki.com/blog/ Commission info here: viewtopic.php?f=18&t=3961 I noticed some of you who couldn't PM me here. aquilla429 Posted December 31, 2012 Se looks really nice! I think this style is lovely and you seem to have pulled it off really well. This look is much softer and more natural in comparison to your usual style, which personally, I find can be too dark and harsh (I mean no offence, its just not my cup of tea personally) This look here is still pointy and precise, but the tone graduation really softens up those sharp edges to give a very different look and feel. Nekopon Posted December 31, 2012 She looks so cute! I usually really dislike Neris' face- cept for a few customs which is why I have one of my own- but this one looks really cute! I love how shy she looks and the lips don't look nearly as awkward as the original face up. Totally adorable shots, too!
