Project: Victorian lady's

I am planning to have a set of late Victorian dresses for the girls. Mostly for the challenge tailor fitted clothing will be, and for the fun in seeing the different styles on a DD.

 

Haruka Niimi 1900 day dress: 100% finished

1890/1900 tennis dress: 0%

Haruka Amami 1890 day dress: 50%

Mari Makinami 1880 Riding dress: 0%

 

I was finished Haruka Amami's Victorian day dress, however I did not like the skirt. I used the books recommended skirt with, but due to her long legs it ended up more tube, not the circle shape I wanted. And the jacked needs a better skirt....and a proper petticoat.

I did not want to throw away the skirt, so I added a shirt and made it into a 1815/1820 dress, with loose fitted 3/4 sleeves

I think I'l take some photo's of Haruka Niimi (having two Haruka's is kinda confusing) tomorrow when I have daylight.

I finally took the photo's of Haruka Niimi in her day dress, The main fabric on her blouse is a replica from the 1900, I've had it laying around for a few years without anything to use it on. Her skirt is simple dark green cotton, with three bows in the back and a matching trim

Both of your girls are simply adorable! Haruka Amami is almost too adorable in Victorian clothes, and her hair is so cute! And Haruka Niimi looks so elegant that I'm jealous! I'd love to see the other outfits you have planned once they are done. Where did you happen to find their wigs?

 

As for names, had you thought of calling them Miss Amami and Miss Niimi? I think that would be cute, and very proper.

I think I might call them that....haruka and haruka is a little confusing.

The wigs are from Monique's, Amami is wearing a Hilda in chestnut brown and Niimi is wearing Gibson Girl in Golden strawberry

 

I do have a few "period" friendly wigs from Leeke (their mohair wigs) but the 8-9 wigs are too small, so the msd girls got them instead

Those are such beautiful outfits! I noticed too that the mohair wigs from Leeke World are on the small side and quite inflexible.

 

They work on smaller heads like Sirius.

 

I didn't think Sasara's head was on the smaller side but these styles at least worked on her.

Both of them are beautiful. But I love Ms. Niimi look. She look very classy in that wig and her eyes look so big, round and adorable.

Saber looks very elegant, she makes me think of My Fair Lady. I really love the colors on her dress, they complement her perfectly And I most ask, where is her wig from?

If you look at this take you will notice that the dress is a little bit short on the dd III body
