LOL, totally understandable since I often post pics of dolls that aren't mine as well XD. Robin's just been coming into work with me lately and I always open the cards at work, so I thought it was amusing. I've only added her to my database thread, I've not done an intro post for her or anything, so I am not surprised you didn't know she was a resident.

Oh I sent mine several days ago, it should be arriving soon!

I have my secret Valentine package all ready to go to ship tomorrow but I will have to wait to send cards out until mid next week . My printer is out of ink now and I can't afford more till I get paid again. Stupid printer....

Hubby mailed it all off as I was at work. Hope the recipients like the cards.

Pidge is very cute, and seems really happy with her gifts, so I don't mind pretending it's the 14th already for her.

EVENT 1: Valentine Secret Admirer

Here is how it will work:

 

Everyone who signs up will be assigned one partner (please do not make requests, it will be random).

 

When you receive your partner, you will choose among their girls the one your DD girl admires most (yes, just one!) and lavish her with a Valentine gift! (Which must be shipped no later than February 1st)

... but keep it a secret until February 14th, when we reveal here on the forum who our secret Valentine crushes are!

If that's true, I sure didn't get that from the instructions! But since I made my V-Day cards myself, there's no guessing as to who sent it anyways because of who is on the front. I just thought that we weren't supposed to PUBLICALLY tell anyone who we got gifts for and that the recipient would know as soon as they got it in the mail.

If you read the instructions, it's under the bit of instruction FOR the sender, not the recipient, to keep it secret.

 

But I absolutely see how it's confusing, my wording is crap... I'll make it more clear in the future... but really... doesn't it just make more sense to have a secret valentine who is a secret from you... rather than a secret from people who didn't get the gift?

Yeah, now I see where this makes sense but I didn't think along those lines until just now. The way I saw it was you send your stuff to your person and both you and them didn't tell anyone about it until V-Day here on the forums. That way, noone else in the event knew who was getting what except for you and the person you sent stuff to. So it's still a secret for everyone else involved. I guess my secrets and yours are different. Oh well, I'll know better for next time.

Well that I figured. But I included a different version of my regular card in with the secret gift that me and my girl signed. Everyone else getting cards got the same cards except for the secret V-day one, that card is a little different.

The "someone" who signed their name to the card had no intention of keeping their admiration a secret. Sigh.

That "someone" also decided to send a card and chose just one girl from each of the participants in the card exchange instead of to everyone in the house. Like a mini-secret admirer thing *pulls hair out* even though I told everyone to read the rules! I have absolutely no say to what goes on in my dorm full of dolliehs it seems.
