I think part of it is the fact that VolksUSA no longer offers regular lotteries -- the recent Rin lotto was a "special event." ~ Fewer people were able to enter via VolksUSA, so it seemed like entrants had a better chance of winning, which increased the overall win/loss ratio. ~ People who entered ONLY the VolksUSA lottery previously now enter the Volks International lottery, so there are more entrants than ever before. It doesn't seem like production has increased in any significant way (and may have decreased due to the large Miku and Macross pre-orders). Also, big releases like Miku and Macross may be increasing the overall number of DD collectors. Of course, I've been entering international lottos since 2012 and haven't won a single one, so... And sadly the way mathematical odds work even if you have 1 in 20 chance of winning you can enter 100 times and still never win -.- I sincerely hope you win one soon.
