Used Saber Extra?

What would be a fair price for just the head (eyes+faceup intact )? Or full doll but nude?

 

@__@ I'm so scared to get taken advantage by scalpers so I'm not really sure what to look for >.< Still new to Dollfie Dreams...

Head's probably worth about $350 with faceup and eyes.

 

Head w/faceup and eyes + body would be worth about $700-750.

 

Full set is about $1000.

 

Yes, these are all market value prices. No, Saber Extra wasn't that expensive when she was first pre-orderable, but Dollfie Dreams don't tend to drop in value. They just go up. It doesn't matter if they're used or not.

maybe volks USA has them in stock. i bought a new one about a month ago from their store. it's 835USD before tax, which is not much more than hypercurve is asking, but includes the outfit/sword and is completely new.

I've been looking at prices for a while but been so confused >.< I saw a few interesting deals on Mandarake and also saw Hypercurve's one. I'm really tempted by Hypercurve's sale though, unless I'm mistaken, they live fairly close from here and chances are shipping fees would be much better compared to if I bought overseas.

 

I'm still debating on wich saber I want now though lol I bumped into a few pics of the alter saber while trying to find some Saber extras... Darn girl's got me so confused and indecisive lol They're both quite beautiful but it's not like I could get both xD ahhh

That's just because that seller sells stuff for low prices. Basically she just sells stuff for what she paid (or less sometimes!). That's not an indication of how easy it's going to be to find the doll for that cheap.

Been thinking about it some more though and I'm going to stick to preorders for Saber >.< As much as I hate waiting, I guess it might be best to have a fullset one for a little bit extra $. -sigh- Besides, knowing myself, as soon as I'd get her I'd be longing for her original outfit lol

 

( A little random but in your opinion, would you guys think that maybe the next release of sabers will have better bodies? Are the new DD3 bodies really that bad and prone to cracking? Volks usually has really great quality all around with their stuff so it's a bit of a let down to see that cracking is a recurring problem :C )

All the pre-ordering was over long time ago, you will have to catch her aftermarket now. (Unless Volks USA has one, but I doubt it now)

The earlier batches of the Saber's had the older internal frame parts, the later should have the improved version less prone to cracking. You can also purchase cool cat reinforcements for the older and newer frame so it should not be an issue. You would have to look at pictures of the frame to verify which one it is.

If you happened to purchase just her head then you could go with a DDII body and skip the DDIII.

xD wow I feel so silly now! XD Whenever I was looking at them online on the volks website I saw "..will ship june 2012" xD I still haven't transitioned to 2013 it seems haha Got confused and was like "ohh that's still in a while" >///<" Not sure how I managed that! Guess I'll keep looking then

Actually, last I heard, Volks USA *still* has some Saber Extras at their store (maybe Saber Alter v2 as well?). These are dolls that people put down a down payment but didn't pay the rest of the cost. This is very recent that I heard they still had them - as of maybe a week or two ago. You could try giving them a call or email them to see if they're still in stock. Keep in mind that they'll only ship to North America (US, Canada, Mexico).

Hmm that's always a possibility then I'll be sending them an email in the next weeks just in case

No clue about if they'll improve the bodies, but my Nero had a shoulder that cracked pretty much straight out of the box, so I'd say they are prone to cracking. Fixed it right up with some polystyrene cement and the aluminium shoulder reinforcement from coolcat though. So I grabbed a few extras and any new dolls I get will get the shoulder reinforcement right away.
