I won't spoil anything, but it's really fun I'm curious to know what you think of the game, jadepixel, since you haven't played since the original. I've played every generation, so the changes aren't big from one game to the next. But from the original it's a huge change. But I do have a warning for people playing these games! Apparently the game can glitch badly if you save in Lumiose city (it's the really big city in the middle of the map). So, don't save your game there or you'll have to restart everything. Keijogirl Posted October 17, 2013 I got my game! I got it Saturday when it came out lol. I picked X and got the boyfriend Y, I wound up sticking with the roots and going with the grass type. This game's a whole lot of fun I've actually just been derping around the world and haven't gotten my first badge yet til today lol! Nekopon Posted October 17, 2013 I've been playing since release day, little by little. I'm loving the game so far even though I've played all the gens. This one is drastically different in a very enjoyable way. I hope they will continue to do great improvements like this in the future games. The new pokemon introduced in this new gen are fun. My favorite right now is Meowstic. Mine is female at level 44 with a great moveset. She is also the most tsundere pokemon ever which is why I LOVE her. She is amazing in Pokemon Amie. jadepixel Posted October 20, 2013 I'm having fun with it so far, I'm really impressed with how much they've included in the game. I didn't even play around with the lower screen things like Pokemon Amie, training, etc until today. The graphics look good and some of the animations are really delightful! And there are a ton of pokemon I've never seen before, but I'm figuring things out quickly. There are a lot of anachronistic elements that must be throwbacks from the original games, such as how characters seem to walk tile to tile and make a 'bonk' noise when they collide with anything. And the menu system is very old fashioned and sometimes obtuse, but probably familiar to regular pokemon fans. Also, is it just me or is Dunsparce the most adorable/ugly pokemon ever?
